Alien's sexual themes are way better when presented in a subtle (yet not too non obvious) way, Alien has always done it in a way that can be seen both as body horror and as "wow cool monster!", having the alien cum on people diminishes that completely

I mean, how else would you describe this ?

    *cough*egg sac*cough*

This is so in line with H.R Giger's xeno sexual themes, I approve of it. Plus, spiders coom web from their butts so this isn't any different anyway.

There are a few things that make me feel disgusted. Those ballsacks are included in those few things. Maybe this game deserves to have it. Nothing about aliens these  days makes me feel disgusted anymore asides from maybe those neomorphs coming out of the mouth. I hope to see NPCs pop one out.

That cocooning concept art is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen, cocooning is better off as a result of left over Plagiarus praepotens turning the body into hive walls in a similar wall to eggmorphing, not the aliens cumming or letting Raimi Spiderman webs on the hosts, puking is okay-ish but thats probs just my AvPE nostalgia talking
  5. The Necronoir
First shot appears to be a close successor to the planetary lifter Tennessee uses to come to the rescue in Covenant. I appreciate little nods like that (alongside the more obvious ones). Seeing the Resurrection cryo pods in A:CM was a similar instance of this.

Well, his grave is about 10 minutes from me; I guess I can start digging for biomechanical structures in the surrounding area.

    Promethean? That's Halo.

Ancient Engineer constructs burred here on Earth would be very Halo, I guess.

Oh wow we are going to the Engineer Ruins! Say what you will about the movie- I thoroughly enjoy the planet itself, which made and will make me watch the movie again and again!

They said they might add Neomorphs later if they can. Now they just have to put them in!

It would be thrilling if one could actually be infected by the pollen!

But even if it is just another backdrop for the Aliens already in the game- I am totally pumped!

Buckle up Marines! I wanna see some genuine badd asses out there!

I promise not to derail the thread anymore. That said, I was interested in Cocoon victims adorning these kind of environmentals. I think Blomkamp designed something like that. Although it was probably just a human.

But overall I'm glad they're keeping the Engineer aesthetics, which tells me that there are still chances of seeing something like this in a future live action instalment of the franchise.  8)

I wonder if Noah Hawley would include ties to prequels like this one.

I do almost wonder if the launching point of the show might be similar Engineer architecture discovered here on Earth...

I think it would be compatible with the concept of Engineers visiting humans in the past. Or like in the early Prometheus draft where they found the star map on Mars.

But yeah, they can hide Engineer ruins in different places of Earth: Africa, Middle East, United Kingdom, Nordic Countries, Amazon, or...

Wow!  :o I wonder if Noah Hawley would include ties to prequels like this one. Well done!  8) This is close to an experience of playing on Planet 4 since the exteriors look like that place, and well like NZ too.

I think it's great. I love Derelict-like aesthetics, but something different is just as cool. And going back to LV-426-like environments, I think you can have both: A majestic natural landscape with ancient-looking ruins, in addition to some cocooned humanoids figures (humans or Engineers) in the depths of the temples.

Thus, we can have the horror movie atmosphere and environment within the epic adventure setting.

In fact I would love to see a cocoon cinematic scene, and I think there was Covenant concept art of that. I'm not sure though.

    🤔

Great looking environments but prequel films can have it's own games (wonder why there weren't any, hint: nobodycares) but seriously this type of game can have it: bright neon aliens, no helmets, human engineers, anything goes  ;D

My only issue is what to make of this horde business. Simply people will knock this for being an ACM clone. We really want this to still be a horde game but there needs to be the devil in the details to talk about.

That room with the heads looks great! We knew they were going to be including prequel/Engineer architecture, but I'd say that particular pic puts it beyond any shadow of a doubt.
