We have just uploaded the 116th episode of the Alien vs. Predator Galaxy Podcast (right-click and save as to download)! Corporal Hicks and RidgeTop are joined once again by franchise consultant Andrew E Gaska to discuss Alien: The Roleplaying Game, an award winning RPG that Drew served as the world and adventure writer for!

Idk, It's not a problem with muthur9000
...only thing that niggles a bit is how little the Synthetics get page-wise...maybe in a future Supplement?
Anyway, Keep On Keeping On, and I'll See Ya On The Flip-Side!
We may need subtitles to translate all the strayan.
To be fair, if we sacked off Adam, could do it at a reasonable Aussie time on the weekend.
Does that mean it's a go?
Spoiler
I think they're reserved for famous people who get interviewed on podcasts.
Lol can I make you one?
I love the approach he took with the lore and the inclusion of all these things from alternate or unused scripts and how it can all fit even if those stories were never made or aren't "canon". And I'm really glad he's on the same page as I suspect most of us are in terms of deliberately including some "outs" for the more controversial aspects of the lore that have been introduced of late! To be honest I think it's the perfect way to approach it, because it really caters to any and all fans no matter what your own personal opinions of that stuff might be.
And hell yes, he's a fan of the Kenner figures and the Scorpion Aliens! I should have known that would get a mention given how much lore is in there for Tanaka 5 in the core rulebook. I've totally been mulling over ideas for a homebrew adventure set there when I saw how fleshed-out it was for such a relatively obscure thing.
That's great to hear that they've got a ton of stuff in the works for the future too, way more than I would have even hoped for! It makes sense that the pandemic pushed back the Colonial Marines sourcebook, since it certainly would have made sense for it to come out at the same time as Destroyer. But given how good the Starter Set is, especially for someone like me who isn't just new to this game but tabletop rpg's in general, I can't say I've got any complaints.
So if Chariots and Destroyer cover two of the three core themes of the game, and this trilogy-capper is going to cover the third, I can totally see us taking on the roles of colonists or roughnecks who've discovered some ancient alien ruins on some desolate planet somewhere. Something that fits with images like these:

Perhaps even (*Chariot of the Gods spoilers*)....
Spoiler
Either way since I'm sure we'll probably be seeing that one before any of the rest I hope we get it sooner rather than later, as I've definitely become hooked on this game!
And a possible Isolation-themed scenario too? That would certainly be another cool one to see, as there's plenty of characters and things you could do with that.
Wonder if the brand that was mentioned earlier in the podcast that he's working on is Free League's upcoming Cthulhu rpg? Either way after the fantastic job he and they did with this one I'll definitely be picking that up for sure, and it'd only increases the chances of it being awesome too if he's going to be one of the ones responsible for writing the adventures for that as well.
We will get there.
