We have just uploaded the 91st episode of the Alien vs. Predator Galaxy Podcast (right-click and save as to download)! Our latest episode sees regular hosts Corporal Hicks and RidgeTop joined by community guest Shevvie to breakdown and discuss Alien: Echo, Alien’s first foray into the Young Adult genre by Mira Grant.
We breakdown the plot of the book and talk in detail about the things we loved in the book and the things we weren’t keen on. We talk about how Alien adapts to Young Adult and whether that means the book lacks in violence (it doesn’t. At all).
We discuss Olivia Shipp, a new recurring character introduced in this book that is set to re-appear in Aliens: Colonial Marines – Rising Threat and Cold Iron Studio’s new Alien game, how it’s possible to hate a child as much as RidgeTop hates Michel, and plenty more!
There’s a quick point where we’re unsure whether Sebestian was Katherine’s or John’s brother, and he’s Katherine’s. Later this month we’ll be sharing an interview with Seanan McGuire, the author of Alien: Echo!

Assuming I finish the second pass this weekend, our interview with Mira/Seanan will be up next Monday.
Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed that book. Haven't read any of Zindel's others but I really should. Glad you enjoyed the episode.
Yep, takes place in my home state. I need to read it again as I remember it being a really engaging one.
Yep that's the one!
Was Raptor the one where a kid finds a dinosaur egg in Utah or something? I think I may have actually read that when I started secondary school.
And yeah, screw Michael.
Podcast review is now up. Will get a written one up shortly.
Next podcast is going to be an interview with the author.
