NECA’s Officially Announces Aliens Series 14 (Alien: Resurrection) & Alien 3 Creature Pack!

They’ve been teasing the Alien: Resurrection series for some time and now it’s official, Series 14 is all about Ripley 8 and those cloned Aliens!

Ellen Ripley Clone 8 stands approximately 7” tall, has over 25 points of articulation and features the likeness of Sigourney Weaver. She wears the clone’s futuristic ensemble and comes with Draco Double Burner and Lacrima 99 Shockrifle accessories, plus interchangeable hands and a basketball. The Resurrection Warrior stands over 9” tall and is faithful to the Alien’s appearance in the movie. It features over 30 points of articulation, including a tail assembly which provides an additional swivel as well as having a bendable portion.

Unlike most waves, Series 14 is made of only two figures. However, NECA has previously shown off a Newborn figure so it’s possible it maybe a special release unrelated to Series 14. Judging from the prototype boxing I would guess it would be released as one of NECA’s “Ultimate” figures. Series 14 is currently slated for release in the 2nd quarter of 2019.

NECA also recently announced their Alien 3 Accessory Pack – Creature Pack, coming completely with Bambi Burster, Queen Chestburster, Super Facehugger and Spike the Dog, due for release in May!

Looks good, but I'm not sure how they figured the measurements.  Looks a bit too tall to me.

Yeah I was thinking same this. Maybe it's just how the legs are positioned?? Either way I'm proud this figure is happening. It's took a lot of fan push to make him happen. Even though he's regarded as the worst design in the Alien series.

Somehwere, someone involved with it made the complaint that the art dept had lots of beautiful paintings for how the Newborn should look. They could have just copied one of the beautiful paintings. Instead, we got *that*. I agree, but it's all history now.

The proportions of that weird thing are less human-like than that of the average alien. The length of the arms and legs really annoy me. The extra human dna should make it more humanoid but instead it just made it look ugly and broken, the one creature that got no redeeming qualities, a true 0/10, I don't think I ever gave 0/10 for anything else in my life.

Neca seems to have decreased its saggy bitch tits though.

I hope they don't dare go that rout or I'll never be able to get one... But yeah, the Working Joe's are a fan favorite. Maybe after the millionth Alien/Predator repaint they'll make enough cash to go all out on the Joe's....  :P

I have a feeling Resurrection, Kenner, and the rumors of an Ultimate Predalien might be it for Alien fans this year. I definitely don't see many issues with Working Joes--don't have to worry about likeness rights. Still, creatures sell better. The demand has to be there, from what I've seen.

    Spoiler
I'm gonna keep hoping for Drake.

Quote from: SiL on Feb 04, 2019, 02:03:14 PMbut isnt thst accurate? I thought the feet were the same, I think the only differnce between the two was the extra leg joint and the head for avpr. I think the value resurrection ones had small find on the arms too.
How is sculpting a heel being lazy?

It's clearly not newly sculpted- it's just using the same foot mold as the AVP Warrior.

I'm not sure the figure would be able to stand on its own if they gave it a shorter/non existent heel. Stompy and the Defiance xeno have that issue..maybe they made it thicker so they wouldn't have to issue a stand with each one?

That seems like a fair enough conclusion, but then IMO, they should've made the heel portion in translucent plastic.

I think it's a case of attaching new legs to a figure that wasn't initially weighted for them with the Isolation and Defiance Aliens, as they fall over constantly according to all reports- yet the Covenant Xeno and Neo both have no issues standing up with digitigrade legs.

smart choice with complimenting them at the end there  :D

I mean technically if the Pred-Alien were an "Ultimate" figure like Wolf will be they could totally whip up a second head and add it to the box.

I'd be surprised if the did that. And the bodies are not identical. Greater chance of it being a separate figure some day. I think down the line they're gonna milk the games and comics until they're dry. Especially if new movies don't come out for a while. If they have the license long enough, they'll do them all. The less factory problems they have, the faster it will come.

Aaargh, can you stop deleting posts when you want to make changes to them? There's an edit button for a reason :D

I think the heel is there for stability if anything.

He finally arrived. Are they going to realise a norm coloured version, and is this a new head sculpt or that same as the 2007 version?

Not sure about the 2007 version. The Neca Alien Resurrection figure comes soon...

    Spoiler
IMO Not, in fact perfect- but still miles ahead of the Requiem atrocity.

Absolutely my favorite design. Just one thing could have been better, those dreadlocks lined black, like spikes. Otherwise it is perfect.

Honestly, opaque. I can't stand the first release of Big Chap with his fully transparent and bright white dome so I had to repaint it. I don't want the skull to be obvious in my figures. I would like it barely, really barely visible and only up close, but if that's not possible, than no skull at all. I'm talking about the front mostly, the rest can be more transparent. Literally, if Neca does the same thing to the dome that they did to the Burk and Dog alien, but for Big Chap, I'll be thrilled.

I think I'm on the same line of agreement.  ;D

I finally got my hands on the Ultimate Blue Aliens Warrior, I dig it a lot. I think my only "complaint" is that the shins seem like they could warp easily and make the figure not stand straight - the prior Aliens Warriors had this problem, and it doesn't look like it's been improved.

I'm on the fence on if I like this figure more than the "domed" Aliens Warrior from the Burke two-pack, I really think that's a neat blend of the Alien/Aliens designs.

The domed warrior is my favorite, it has the best of both worlds and even though I really like the rigged warrior head, this one looks so elegant all thanks to the dome, paint job and proportions.

So you like transparent or opaque domes better?
