Constantine Sekeris, one of the many talented artists who worked on The Predator, recently shared some cool concept art of the work he did on the Upgrade Predator!
“I came in kinda late on this project to help with some ideas and concepts the director Shane Black and my good friend Production Designer Martin Whist had for the upgrade evolved Predator. With this concept they wanted to stay close to the original design; keeping him thin and tall but then his skin solidifies when in protective battle mode and becomes like armor, hence no exterior armor. This version I’m sharing is one of a few designs explored. He was originally supposed to start out in his pale color texture and then change colors and textures to harden his skin as protective battle armor.”
“He [Martin Whist] had mentioned to try a Black Widow Spider shinny black with red striping.”
Another artist who worked on The Predator, Shane Baxley, also recently shared some designs he worked on for the Upgrade Predator.
