Over the last few years Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. has been sharing some very cool behind-the-scenes videos from their work on Alien 3, Alien Resurrection and the Alien vs. Predator films to their studioADI YouTube channel.
Following on from a recent video showing the filming of the flashback scenes from Paul Anderson’s Alien vs. Predator, studioADI have released another AvP video showing behind-the-scenes on the filming of Scar blooding himself and a close-up segment of big Celtic vs. Grid fight during the middle of the film.
“A quick trip through the pyramid stage on the set of ALIEN VS PREDATOR reveals a near naked Ian Whyte being suited up as the Predator. This guy kicked ass! Also some behind-the-scenes coverage of Tom Woodruff, Jr. operating the insert Alien head with the working inner mouth and while Lance Henriksen and Sanaa Lathan await their cues.”
Be sure to head on over to the studioADI YouTube channel and check out all the other behind-the-scenes videos that have been uploaded. In addition to their work with Alien and Predator, there’s also plenty of videos from ADI’s involvement with other films.
I would also recommend checking out their War Crimes videos in which Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr discuss in detail their work on the later Alien films and the reasoning behind some of the controversial design choices.
