Now that San Diego Comic-Con has started, NECA have taken the wraps off their new line of Alien and Predator action figures. These are based on creatures seen in the 1994 side-scroller arcade game, Alien vs. Predator from Capcom and come with some very funky colouring to match what was seen in the game.
There are three Predators – Mad Predator, Warrior Predator and Predator Hunter. They stand at over 8″ tall and have over 30 points of articulation. The Mad Predator comes with a Facehugger and Chestburster while the other two come with pulse rifles, smartguns and spears.
There are three Xenomorphs based on the hit arcade game – Razor Claws, Chrysalis and Arachnoid. Each of them is over 9″ tall with over 30 points of articulation and bendable tails. Razor Claws is the huge purple xenomorph and as you can tell by the name, possesses huge sharp claws. Chrysalis has a carapace on its head, back and forearms while Arachnoid is similar to Warrior variants but in the game, it was able to jump higher than any other xenomorph.

All kidding aside, I still have my Kenner Scorpion and even without the exploding feature. I will be getting a case of this guy. Love the copper tone. Would help camouflage him in more rusted interiors of ships and colonies.

I really like the copper and black colour scheme. That's exactly how I remember the Kenner original looking. And the extra spikiness is a nice way to differentiate him from other figures now that he doesn't explode.
Beautiful statue but too pricey for me. I like the skinny look.

Well, technically the brown tint is more accurate.
I actually like the Queen Facehugger more close-up than I did looking at the pictures, especially the size and colouring. It looks like they did a great job of recreating the red and black of the original. I know it's not the most popular of the Kenner figures but it was one of the few I owned back in the day and I like how unique it is, so it was one I was really glad to see show up in the first wave of remakes.
Yeah the APC might be a bit unrealistic. Would love any kind of dioramas or accessory/creature packs. The USCM arsenal pack was awesome.
It feels like it's been a longtime since we had a new series.
I don't know if I want the blue tint or the brown tint. Decisions...
That being said I could totally see them doing the crew compartment of the APC as a deluxe "environment" like the Predator trophy wall. Do the half that has the monitor set up and the row of chairs next to it.
They could even throw Goreman (or bomber jacket Ripley) in as a little bit of extra incentive to buy.
I know I'd buy it at least.
I don't think that is unreasonable as they have already done the Queen and Powerloader.
I have a standard Blue Xenomorph Warrior. Im thinking I want the Brown Ultimate warrior but not sure how different the articulation is.

Importantly, NECA are well known for delaying the release of their goodies. I'll be surprised if we see these before the end of the month. Would be nice, though.
