Gearbox Software has released new details today about the upcoming PC patch for their videogame Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to a public representative:
“The PC update is currently in the final stages of testing and expected to roll out within the next week.
This update contains the changes that were in the recent update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, along with some additional changes that will be part of future updates for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This update also includes several PC-specific changes, notably: improved texture resolution, various visual improvements, the addition of a mouse smoothing option, and some fixes for PC-only crashes.
As this update is rather large, those players with limited or bandwidth-capped access may want modify their auto-update settings by right-clicking Aliens: Colonial Marines in their Steam Library, choosing Properties and selecting the Updates tab.”
Yeah it would be nice to get the pretty game we saw but i want the pretty game with something new.
The textures are so bad. It's almost sickening.
Oh and I hope they put the film grain in first person mode. It actually does exist in the "edit loadout" screen so filmgrain isnt a myth. Aint holding my breath on any of it though.
Ridiculous
Would be nice if they fixed the crazy sway-while-shooting nonsense; it's like a little girl is holding the gun or something. And the hit detection being completely off from where the crosshair is pointing...
This game could get an overhaul simply by finding someone who knows how to use photoshop correctly. If Xbox doesnt get something graphic wise ill post up textures for people to laugh at.
I need to get back to PC gaming soon
