Randy Pitchford CEO of Gearbox Software has recently commented on the reception of Aliens: Colonial Marines via Twitter. Pitchford has acknowledged the disappointment from many fans that Aliens: Colonial Marines has caused by saying:
“I feel like we exist to make people happy and it’s painful when for some we do not succeed. We learn and grow.” “I’m afraid it looks like I will lose a huge amount of money. We pay for our education.” he added.
The Gearbox Software CEO has also confirmed that they are looking at ways to discuss the game beyond the scope of Twitter. He has also replied to criticism from people in regards to the differences between the final game and the demos:
“That is understood and fair and we are looking at that. Lots of info to parse, lots of stake holders to respect.”
Additionally, he has stated that “Borderlands success actually helped to finance all other projects.”
