Is there a way to swap out the "legendary" weapons in the campaign? Like I've got Hudson's pulse rifle but it completely replaced my regular pulse rifle, and I'm kinda out of ammo for it. Likewise, Hicks' Shotgun replaced my regular shotgun, and Gorman's Pistol replaced my sidearm. I'd kind of like to ditch those so I can use regular ammo pickups, but I don't see a way to do it.

Dude, I did the EXACT same thing. And guess what? Hold down the Y button (triangle if on PS) and ull see that u have access to EVERY GODDAMN GUN UNDER THE SUN lol. This whole time I thought it was only 2 mains and a pistol and I had all those others magically taped to my ass  Such a shitty way of weapon carrying. The game doesn't do enough to explain this thoroughly.

Now kick ass and take names!  :D

Ive read up on the whole "shoot the jockey in the head to see the engineer space battle" thing but Ive tried it every which way and nothing. Ive cleared the room, tried it on different difficulties and emptied clip after clip into the guys skull and nothing. No light show. Anyone have any tips?

The Let's Play of the Century has begun!

Me and my friend did this with the comedy of the game's errors in mind (I've played through the game once, he hasn't). This is merely part one; we've recorded the whole way through. One the second mission we gain one more player, a friend of ours, and he sticks with us for the rest of the journey. My friend did the recording, which is why he comes through much clearer; I'm being picked up over Xbox Live. It only really dips when in cutscenes, but that's fine. After a while, it all kinda blends together. It would be awesome to give my friend a Subscription; he's finding a feel for the videos and aims to do some of the more popular FPS games; he's begun a FarCry 3 compilation as well. Again-- more subscriptions would really make him (and me) happeh to release more content. There's some really quite funny stuff to be seen...

Actually you have to take the tactical out and use its secondary arc rounds, there slugs that give the enemy an electric shock and while there being electrocuted you have to shoot them dead.

I've been trying to figure out this challenge but can't.

Double Tap: Kill 2 enemies that are stunned in a campaign mission

Do i heave to kill them at the same time while they are stunned? I've tried shooting enemies legs so they fall then i finish them off but it doesn't count. I must be missing something. :-\

Same here. I'll try the Wii U version when its cheap, but I have a feeling it will be released at rock bottom rate, right off the bat. Already taken the game back once. Seems stupid to get it again. Only new Alien game out there.

Yeah, it's probably the worst death screen I've ever seen.

    I just f**king saw it...holy shit...that was...wow... f**k this game.

Just joined though I've been lurking Alien related sites for ages. This comment sums up how I feel about the whole thing, though my issue is particular to canon and treatment of the story.
I read your comment as someone thats intimately fed up with how every f**kin bastard that gets thier hands on this franchise just trashes it - 30yrs and it STILL takes Ridley to give it any credibility at all. I mean seriously. Watchin Alien as I type this, Ash just got his ass handed to him & god but I still can't stand Lambert.

Anyway, fuk this fanboy rant of a wannabe game. Just like Cameron, in one fell swoop Gearbox have screwed with 30 yrs of enjoyment. Anyone that gets this game is just supporting bad behaviour, though I hope people make up thier own minds

Agreed, although I'm not someone has is fed up with how the Alien franchise can't be taken in a good direction anymore, I don't think I'm that old, or that passionate about it to be in that mindset.

I will end up buying this game, but I'm not going to give any money to Gearbox and such, I'm planning on buying this game used and for cheap...that way, I'm just supporting my local retailer instead of a developer and publisher that clearly had no idea what they were doing. This is the first time I have ever done this willingly right off the bat.

    Dat Gorilla Alien.
    Spoiler
To be fair the Exosuit fight could have been awesome if it was more fluid and the alien wasn't so full of glitch by teleporting. The game doesn't even looks like as a BETA.

To be honest, I think that huge alien's design is pretty neat - especially compared with the other crap we've seen.. spitters and crushers and the like.

Everybody go to 1:25 in this video:

The Lurker is the best designed enemy in the game, bar-none. It actually feels like an Alien (aside from it's constantly give-away heavy breathing) and having to hunt for it creates a tense moment. This is probably the best example of its behavior I've seen so far, particularly impressed at how it tries to attack primarily from behind and then flees when you turn.

After seeing the god-awful waves of endless mood-murdering moronic Wey-Yu mercs and congo-line Alien warriors, this is a breath of fresh air.

Where are the spoiler tags in these posts people? Some people don't want the game ruined for them.

This entire topic is one big spoiler, the hint is in the title.

True, but 99% of this board does not have the game.

...But the thread is about playing through the game. Don't want spoilers? Don't come in here.

    Spoiler
So that WAS Hudson! I was wondering but it was too hard to tell, since he moved by so quickly. That makes sense, meaning all the dead husks and boilers are basically survivors from ALIENS.

That part of the game actually looked tense (that and the run through the vents with the aliens bursting out of the ceilings...why didn't they chase after Winter though?) All the white, crouching dead xenomorphs made for a creepy setting.

All the rushing is too be expected, these players aren't the biggest ALIENS fans it would seem.

Can you provide a link to the derelict gameplay?

Yeah, I kind of liked the look of that part of the game myself.

    Spoiler
To be objective here though I am noticing some of these players behind their walkthroughs to just simply be rushing through the game, for example in part nine of "Leeroy712Plays" walkthrough he completely misses the part where Hudson is hanging dead in the "Raven's" hive, it happens around 03:30 of part nine. I also checked out someone elses walkthrough that gave a preview of the derelict spaceship level of the game, and he basically rushed right on through it not even finding the time to mention the space jockey in the center of the room, or even taking time to notice it even, within twenty to thirty seconds he blasted straight through and continued on.
