A new batch of images consisting of 115 new concept art pieces for Prometheus has been uploaded to the portfolio of concept artist David Levy. This new batch includes unused ideas for the Primordial ship, pyramid, space suits, various human equipment, creatures and much more. Make sure to see them below:
You can download all images here. Thanks to seeasea for the news.
That is the spaceship with boobs which got Cameron promoted within the Roger Corman company?
Concerning of "Mother Ship", it always seemed to me that Gigeresque biomechanical interiors (in Prometheus more mechanical) can be walked or climbed easily, so the xenomorphs can be all over the place.. Or it is easier for their resin (or black goo) to spread around.. So when the "Mother Ship" takes off and changes position, the crew simply walk on what was the wall before..

You can see it more clearly whene it takes of behind the sacrifice engineer.
The juggernaut might also don't flight in the same position as it takes off i think.
BTW where does that image comes from?
The concept art for the Mothership arriving on primordial Earth. This is a very unusual concept for a flying saucer. Why would it position itself flat at the waterfall? Does gravity act differently inside the ship?
ORRIBLE !!

Also, the more i see the more I think a lot of the stuff here might be before the direct alien prequel thing was axed.
Well, it's more stylish, but I wouldn't necessarily say that most things we've seen in this project's concept art would've been better on the big screen.
Different, but not unquestionably better.
With that said, it would've been nice to have seen the partial crustacean themes kept for the trilobite design, as seen on these. But, again, it wouldn't have been a really massive improvement (and the old superfacehugger design, minus the leg membranes, would have been better than any of them).
yes
before they went with the almond shape.
The rover jetpack amost made it to the film it seems as it was adapted to the final design.
Yup, it has elements of the Derelict in its design.
Very Skynet...

Don't know what this is meant to be, but it's a bit Minbari.
Though unlike a lot of people here, I guess, I DO think the film did an excellent job portraying a lot of the visuals - the rover, the medpod, the scanning table are all straight out of these concept pieces. The suits here look a bit bulkier than the film version, but the basics are kept through and through. And the only thing missing from the film renditions of the pyramid is the fog and grimy atmosphere of these pieces (which, along with those elephant coffins, are sorely missed. Where did all the ribs from the original film go? I know what Riddles wanted, but still, man. Not present in any of the artworks, not even these.
I do wish Cobb's semiotic standard was kept in... I suppose the Weyland/Weyland Yutani company has 30 years to work on that.
Don't care for the squid designs or the gigantic Terminator Hunter Killer on top of the RT01 at all though.
Dislike most of it but thanks for the find.
All these great designs, shame they didnt get used.
What a waste.
