Fox Russia has released an extended Prometheus featurette showing a lot of new behind-the-scenes footage. The video also includes interviews with the cast & film crew but unfortunately you can barely hear them due to the Russian voice over. The footage was published ahead of embargo and it has now been removed from the original source. You can watch it below or download it here.
Update 30/05/2012: Fox has officially released the extended featurette today. You can watch the English version of the video below:

Then again, the whole of Trek09 was drivel - the plot had more holes than a swiss cheese, and the director screwed over the most important story telling element of the film - the edit - by primarily shooting scenes from one angle with a steadicam.
Just like "Freedom Fighters" wasn't in Star Trek

or
"Gothic Power" wasn't in Terminator 3.

It is very beautiful though.
Beautiful - I also hope that the score will have that tone. I don't know Marc Streitenfield's work at all, although I do keep meaning to listen to Robin Hood, so I can't guess what we're likely to get.
I do know that the two trailers for Star Trek 2009 had absolutely incredible music, but then Michael Giacchino's score ended up being a bit lame.
We'll see. I just want to me moved to tears - not just by an amazing story - but by the beauty of the images and sounds. I remember the impact that my first viewing of Alien had on me, of the lighting, the visual and audio tone, and just being obsessed by trying to work out all the camera setups. For me it's a great work of art, and I'm hoping our artist will present another masterpiece.
Very cool song and appropriate for this movie.

Hopefully the real soundtrack will be of the same style.
I remember that music being in one of the other trailers as well, so it very well might be. Reminds me of parts of the Alien3 score, which I love.
i just noticed that the control device for the starmap which David is using has a "laser-membrane" (yeah this word is nonsense but i didn't know what else to call it) which is very similar to the light-layer above the Eggs in ALIEN.
it also seems to "react" when David is touching it. i think they were inspired to choose this design by the Egg silo scene in ALIEN.
take a look at 0:56

she got contact to them, as they were attacked by the little worm (what is an assflower?!?!1) and why didn't they follow her orders?
She says:
"Let's say i'm wrong, and you do find these beings down there. You won't engage them. You won't talk to them. You will do nothing but report back to me."
i did not get some words she said, i'm not from america
Vickers: "Lets say I'm wrong, and you do find these beings down there..."
Holloway: "Miss Vickers, is there an agenda that your not telling us about?"
the part with " yoü do nothing, but reporting back to me"
possibly someone that was left behind at the temple (left for dead) --now resurrected. We later see someone, still inside their spacesuit-- with arms outstretched (as if to say I surrender myself) approaching the Prometheus bay doors. I believe Vickers and Janek (armed with flamethrowers) welcome them back with a warm embrace! Fifield pick axes someone and hurls them like a rag doll in this bay as well.
because so far it seems like Vickers is the only clear thinking person on that ship. she is very sceptical about the "meeting" with these alien creatures and seems to be the first one who wants to return to earth, maybe because she wants to prevent bad things to happen.
of course her secret agenda could be that she knows that Weyland is on the ship and is intended to help him on his quest for...immortality or whatever. but that doesn't really make her a "bad" character afterall.
it could very well be that she is the secret hero of this movie who is going to save earth from the Engineers attack and is the one character that has been thinking reasonably from the beginning on - opposed to the naive behaviour of Shaw, Holloway and especially Milburn ("oh hey there strange alien-snake-creature - OH MY GAWD ITS IN MY SUIT").
you mean, an expanded role like in hanckock?

if she is somehow connected to the engineers, she has to be billions of years old.
Even worse if it ends to be true.
Wich it will not.
Thank god... I mean Engineers ^^
Holloway: "Miss Vickers, is there an agenda that your not telling us about?"
...
Vickers: "They were right."
Janek: "Did you want them to be wrong?!"
My money's still on Vickers being some kind of goddamn Succubus! (Tree-Fiddy!)
Veronica - The Succubus!

Vickers?? Giger Alien Monster IV

The "Take us home" plea from Vickers is surely the big give away to her odd character because it appears that moments later she is seen jettisoning herself to safety! My guess is that she rigs the Prometheus on a collision course with the Juggernaut - I am presuming that Janek only intended to follow it and shoot it down?
It would be too boring if she was simply an executive mole or an Ash-like android. She clearly already 'knows' abouth the Engineers and perhaps what caused their extinction. I'm guessing she is returning to finish the job. Perhaps she is the Engineers' Nemesis, or part of some kind of galactic Opus Dei, or maybe even the devil incarnate?!
She is definitely a 'suit' for something - but I seriously doubt that its anything human.
Vickers' agenda could very well be the most intriguing part of the Prometheus story.
I think Janek and the bridge crew pilot the ship in an act of desperation whilst Vickers takes an escape pod. Shaw and David are likely planet side still... and i'd venture to guess everyone else is deader than a box.
Yes this is from the hologram speeach he gives to the crew in the hangar before Shaw and Holloway make their.
He says "outside," not "inside."
But it's too hard to tell for now. It could still be the storm however, considering he's not just saying its outside the ship (which is obvious), but that it's RIGHT outside the ship. Like, very, very close, which is what we've seen in the material so far.
Genius
So my guess also something alien like.
Just my humble guess
I can't confirm it, but it sure sounds like it (as Weyland)... or they are leading us to believe that it is.
The window cleaner!!! dun dun duun...
lol I joke ofcourse! I'm hoping it's a Jockey, I really do!!
Bri
Wonder what he's referring to....
Thank you for that. Simply outstanding.
I didn't bother watching the other version because it was in Russian but this was good! So Janek does get out of the ship. And "It's right outside the ship" line was good. Also David on a bike playing basketball was funny
Better than learning Russian.
English version.

If you mean the dialogue at 0:58 time mark, then here is it:
David: "How far would you like to get searching answers all the way for? what are you willing to do?"
Holloway:"Anything..." (can't understand what he says next, but the meaning is Holloway is quite insolent and impetuous)
You are welcome!
I imagine it's this...
"He even asks Holloway, 'Why did you make me?'" reveals director Ridley Scott. "And he says, 'Because we could.' So David responds, 'How would you feel if your maker said that about you?' Does David have feelings? You f**king bet he has feelings."
can anyone give me more info about what Vickers was saying in the part where she has an incinerator?
Also - what is the Holloway-David conversation about? I know it has some old dialogue - but it looks like there is some new stuff there too. Any ideas?
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
