Alien is far from what I would describe as a cult film. Cult film's are usually pictures that have developed a reputation on smaller or home release, slowly rising to mainstream levels of attention over years. Alien was an out and out success and has been since it's release.

If he is a troll it is such a weird and random trolling attempt after reading the rest of his twitter.  Like it's even an odd movie to pick as a "cry for attention" kinda tweet.  You figure he would have used, judging by his twitter, like #avengers or something, not a kinda "cult" film....[I still consider Alien to be one of the most successful cult films of all time].

I wonder if test screenings of Prometheus will either lack the ending or have a false one. Hopefully these rumored test screenings yield us some juicy plot details soon--this dry spell is agonizing.

Unless you're privy to some amazing, super early, super top secret test screening that nobody knows about but you.

I'm not attending that one. Yeah, definitely not that one. Mine is definitely Prometheus though -- I want to make that very clear.

Disendor! I want to believe you so much, but I can't. But if what you are saying is actually real, good luck  ;)

Hang on Disendor, didn't you say that your ticket was titled as "Untitled Science Fiction Film"?  Could be anything... Muppets In Space! (if it is, still report back... I love that shit ;D)

    Alien3 - F**K

I think you can still buy those shirts on eBay...

Obviously I am missing something here  ???

It was the unofficial subtitle used by the production crew.

Yup!...A magazine writer was interviewing Sigourney Weaver and they were discussing all the problems they had during the shoot. Sigourney said that at one point, one of the crew had a bunch of t-shirts made with the word "f**k!" printed on the front for everyone to wear, because it was one of the most commonly heard words uttered amongst the cast and crew during the entire shoot, both on and off set.

    PROMETHEUS - dunkle Zeichen
im Weltraum kann man nicht lesen

this is another shining example of how they tend to f**k up movie titles in germany... seems like a lot of movie distributers have the urge to add totally pointless subheaders to movies that make no sense whatsoever.

i always found it hilarious how they named the movie "Cellular" in germany - "Final Call - Wenn er auflegt, muss sie sterben" (translation: when he hangs up she has to die"). amazing, isn't it? why not include the full plot summary in the title... gee

Alien was "Alien: The Eighth Passenger" in most foreign markets.

in germany: Alien - The creepy creature from another world    ::)

but "dunkle zeichen" (dark signs) don't make any sense, coz the name prometheus, in german, intonate differently than in the english language and that means "pʀoːmeːthɔɪs" (phonetic) itself is the alternate title.  :-X

Btw...did i miss something? Here in Austria/Germany the movie is listed as "Prometheus - Dark Signs" ?

Prometheus -- Dunkle Zeichen ??  Isn't that the German equivalent to the English phrase "Dark Signs"?  No, I don't think you missed anything, and no I don't know why they would add that additional description to the German title...unless the word "Prometheus" has some different, special meaning in German that would cause confusion?  But I don't think that is the case.

    Very strange.
they always change the title of movies in foreign markets,or add something next to the original market.you rarely get the original title or the exact translation

Oh, just stop it. He will "toy with photoshop" for eternity cause he`s troll and have nothing to do with test screening. Guy`s phony and looking for suckers to toy with. Every time there`s something new here involved with next film, noe or two such 'prophets' appear claming they know director, they`ve seen the script or working on set. This is bullshit, as always.

But it's not. And people seem to have misunderstood my 'ticket' comment -- it's not digital. It's not a ticket. It's a piece of paper with the name of the film (which is called 'Untitled Science Fiction Film'), the name of the screening company, and the recruiter code, the time... everything is on here. The trouble that I'm having is that I pretty much have to block out everything on this ticket. Obviously, I can take a picture and while that might work for some, it doesn't work for someone trying not to have the book thrown at him and of everything would be visible. This is top secret, look the other way stuff I'm dealing with in regards to the company producing it... FOX.

Who sends tickets these day's anyway? Isn't it more likely to be a digital process with identification needed?

Cinema tickets with names on them? Lordy, what will they think of next!?

If he posts his ticket and then posts the entire plot, while other people who attended the screening post the same plot elsewhere, then it matters. I want to know whether to block him or not.
