Prometheus ‘In One Day’ Video

The third and final promo video has been released. It’s available to watch on Apple. As before, it shows off some new shots from the film as well as behind-the-scenes shots. You see a clearer shot of the mutant (?) jumping over a vehicle towards a character. As a sidenote, we knew Weyland Yutani would have a role in the film. In one of the behind-the-scenes shots, a crew member is wearing a shirt that says Weyland Corp. It was Weylan-Yutani in Alien and then later changed to Weyland-Yutani in Aliens. You can find caps of the new video in the gallery.

Here’s the direct download links: 480p | 720p | 1080p. Stay tuned for tomorrow when Apple post the teaser trailer in HD. Thanks to JaaayDee for the news.

Anyone worried should simply go back and watch the original Alien trailer on Youtube or wherever at least to see how the Prometheus one parallels it. There's no shots of the Xenomorph in the original. The really good stuff is saved for the movie.

The xenomorph itself is a mutant born from a mutated dna gene that is spawned from human + alien encounter :)
I guess that as long as the humanoid mutant has a long penis head of death instead of a mans, most of you "fans" are ok with it ( should that concern me?)
In fact i remember that under the dome of the traditional xeno lies human skull eye sockets....and a partial nasal cavity,  has human lips and teeth........ 2arms, 2legs........sounds kinda the same as a man to me?
It isnt really the disign i find scary in alien cannon its the nature of the creature itself. It is whats going to happen if that thing gets hold of you ( they wanna f**k you , rip your heart out and then eat you:)
What amazes me about some of you is that your sooooooooo concerned with the "look" when in fact what i think is going to be shown are creatures that have a much much more frightening "nature" ( but still very nasty looking little beastys )
As a sidenote............. How the "mutants" look in hills have eyes isnt what makes them scary........its the fact that they wanna eat your dog , f**k your mom and sister and do horrible shit all the while, i dont remember sloth from the goonies wanting to do anything of that nature ( although would have made a good sideplot in my oppinion) but based on his look you would jump straight to that conclusion...... And how stupid would you look lolz:)

    Hello,

I hope one day people will get this: Cinema is a PICTURE in motion, and
    this is an art.
There where a time in the old days before Hollywood overrun the market where
people took care of what they had to shot.
Because they weren't rich and the development of a movie consumed a lot of
    money and time.
When you shoot a movie, you take care of what to place into the square thing
    called screen.
You don't stupidly shoot something as it is today.
It had to have meaning with the image because it's always stronger that the sound
which were a "nice addition" to the cinema but not something that should
    be a whole alone.
Also, it didn't have to be story, it just had to be an art.

The look is important, ALIEN became what it is because of the creature.
Because of its design making a print into people head when first saw.
Then of course its action also printed in the head of the audience a mark
but since the movie is about the "look" (I dare you to watch a film with
your eyes closed) I believe people want new / original experiences.
    At least I do.
Seeing how is prometheus for now, it just feels uninspired and déjà vu.

ehm....then what do you want Prometheus to be?? It is very easy to judge a movie that is 6 months from release by a one minute long teaser...(it's not even a trailer)....

    Hello,

It is weird that in 5 years with 2 movie released (AVP-R & PREDATORS)
people still tells me "How can you judge by a trailer, there is still
    6 months to go".
I said I was not going to like AVP-R & PREDATORS and it'll be shit to me
    because they are both uninspired.
I was right, I did not like.
As I do know I won't like this one.

Visual Effects, ever heard about them?
Final Cut approval, ever heard about it?
Distribution of a movie, ever heard about it?
This three elements can take a YEAR alone
while the movie is already shot.
And in a hollywood movie, the story is usually
already done even before the shooting of it
    with "sometime" minor changes.
So your 6 months thing is not even a reason.

And I don't want prometheus to be anything
anymore because I know it's not gonna be
    something original.
    The trailer already spotted it.
Unless you've never seen holograms, alien in a suit,
alien creating life, human expedition on another planet
    that turns bad, blablabla.

So by the same token you wouldn't have minded if the Alien in Ridleys '79 flic looked just like the 'creature from the black lagoon' man in a rubber suit and the creature would be just as terrifying ?
You saying that what the threat looks like is pretty unimportant is just as 'stupid LOLZ' as being disappointed at a particular image and extrapolating based on that image

Also those retarded homicidal imbeciles in 'the hills have eyes' aren't the least bit scary
You really find them terrifying ?

What if............. The sj uses human species as a catalyst testtube? I know the sjs create life in the hope that one day it will evolve into an inteligent enough being to find its way back to the sjs, maybe there is a reason for this like.. They need inteligence before they mutate us into other things?
And i think all the human/xeno hybrids in alien resurection all look creapy as hell...... Just sayin :)
  7. Spidey3121
Egg-morphing? I don't know if anyone's brought it up, though perhaps that's what you were alluding to, but with all this talk of morphing & mutating we must remember that in Scott's original Alien he had humans transforming into Alien eggs. I'm not suggesting that's what is happening here, only that the concept is not foreign to the franchise.
  8. PrometheusFire
Which i am pretty sure stuck pretty close to scotts original idea, isnt that how the alien morphs bret and lambert in alien?

So lol can i ask............ Would it be ok as long as the "mutant" was encased in aliengoo?
Because again i must wonder about you people who want to see men being soaked in goo that comes from a biomech sextoy that covers you in his goo?
  9. Kimarhi
The later Alien films became less about the alieness of the Alien and more about Ripley.  The design of the Alien as a true source of fear/tension/horror whatever hasn't worked since the second movie.  Of course it is played out.

But so are jumping space zombies.  HOPEFULLY, there are more transformations/different types of aliens aside from our Alien in Prometheus.  Otherwise I doubt very seriously fast moving space zombies will impact me the same way the original creature design did.

I can't help but recall William Gibson's failed Alien 3 script watching these previews, even tough his alien virus did mutate the host into Aliens eventually.
  10. ThisBethesdaSea
Great point icedog...as I've written before......if people believe that the original alien can still be presented in a way that's scary and fresh, so can human mutation, something of which is an actual reality.

I grow sick of people attaching their excitement or disappointment to a singular image as opposed an entire film. It's pedestrian.

I think people get WAY TOO caught up in the "what ifs"...

I realize it's fun to speculate...and to a degree it adds to the build-up...but I learned a long time ago that to truly enjoy a MOVIE, you have to let the director tell his story.

I know this is sometimes difficult to do with movies based on novels...or in this case...a movie that is a prequel to an existing volume of work...

But you seriously jeopardize your ability to enjoy the movie IF you don't try and put your brain/heart on hold when you get to the point of thinking you will be seriously disappointed if the movie goes in a direction you don't want it to. Especially when you have another 6 months to wait for it.

While I'll never argue a person's right to have their opinion and don't want to (in the least) come across as if I am trying to tell anybody they are wrong or what to think...I do want to stress that you will get more out of this movie if you try and let the director's clues (up to this point and until the movie opens) be your guide. Ridley is a smart guy...and he knows how to tell this story. It's like being at an amusement park...just enjoy the rides.

P.S. For what it's worth...mutation, creation, and evolution have very fine lines between them. Surely if the Engineer(s) are what we think they are...what we have been led to believe they are by the director...then there's a good chance we will see bits of all three things in this movie. I have no problem with any of that...especially given what Ridley has said to this point about the story he is trying to tell.

    No!!!!
    Don't you get it?
    Mutation suck!
It has been done in previous movies and revealed to suck every time so in this one it will suck too!
    This movie suck already.
    I know it.
    Theres mutation in it.

Let's forget the fact that if you take a concept and give it to a hack director and to a great director that you might end up with a shitty version and a great version of that concept.
Lets also forget that the movie deals with bioengineering, and that you have many glass ampules vials that will probably have different dna in them giving thousand possibilities of creatures.
And of course lets forget that Scott will definitly show his main threat in a teaser 6 month before the movie release.

This movie is set to be an epic fail. ;)

I think its fair to say that these people undergoing changes - if that's whats going on - are going to turn into some very grotesque things.

I think there's a lot of conjecture going on here without a lot of context exactly. Just imagine watching the Alien Trailer without any clue whats going on, in there you have shots of Parker and Ash and there's this white stuff, and hints of some kind of violence, but you have no real idea what you're seeing.

These people could very easily be under the influence of something growing inside of them. (Hence the woman "giving birth" etc...)

I think that the mutations are not really mutations so much as side effects of whatever gets inside their suits. Think about it.

What I wouldn't give to see a slim, black, sexy, newly designed, Giger Xenomorph leap from the ceiling instead of that Goonie looking Sloth dude in Dead Space gear, nuff said :'(

Its funny(or not) how this scene looked amazing, intriguing and fascinating in the low quality leaked trailer, and now, in HQ, well....this.

    Yep !

Looks like 'the hills have eyes' in space - literally 'retarded'
Hate the 'mutation' idea - makes it look and sound like 'Pandorum' - a truly shitty movie that as soon as I saw the mutant human zombie whatevers I thought 'fk this bollox' and sent the movie file straight to 'trash'

The rest of the footage in the teaser trailers looks really, really, reeaaallly reeeeeaaaaallllllyyyy good !!

This leaping deformed human looks stupid, mostly because its a type of image weve seen over and over and over and over and over again in tiresome, lame, predictable 'deformed' human/zombie/mutant/whatever leaps out at unsuspecting human and starts eating them alive type movie.......[one big yawn]

I hope this mutation/deformity thing isnt central to the film otherwise its like just another 'thing prequel', 'who's next', infection, zombie, seen it all before predictable tiresome and unscary Rob Schmidt's 'the wrong turn' on a spaceship stupidity

I'm pretty sure the shot of the guy jumping down takes place in the same area, if not even the same scene, as the three dudes entering a room with guns drawn.
    No thats the lab.
The guy jumping is in the garage were the vehicles are and where the guys with flamethrowers are cleaning the area.

Yep, definately takes place in the garage for me too, you can see one of the vehicles is damaged, probably sabotage leading up to that scene, smoke pouring out from the hood.
In the scene with the guns drawn you can see Noomi at the background and she is hurt so they probably are back from the trip and she is infected.
From there on i dont know who they are shooting at but i think there are two groups on the ship. one group with good guys and one group with some guys who know that there will be shit and some stealable tech.
