Noomi Rapace Talks Elizabeth Shaw

Noomi Rapace sat down with MTV Movies to discuss her character in Prometheus, Elizabeth Shaw:

“She’s definitely her own,” Rapace said of Shaw. “She’s a scientist and she’s very bright and she’s a believer. They have some similarities, but she’s very much her own. I don’t think people will compare [her] so much to Ripley when they see her. Ripley was a hero for me.”

She is also mentioned as offhandedly confirming the connection to Alien universe. Thanks to Darkoo for the link.

Please don't remind us about that teaser...I recently saw it online and I can only imagine how excited audiences must have been before they saw the movie....

well by the looks of it different films gewt teasers at different times so no one can say when the teaser comes out for Prometheus it could be sooner or later

The Star Trek teaser went online in anticipation of a Christmas release that year, but was pushed back to the following May. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a teaser asap, but realistically I know the chances are it'll be later rather than sooner! Avatar didn't get any trailers until only a few months before release.

great! so now they have started shooting for this already in Toronto should we be expecting a teaser in a couple of months then? yes ? no ? maybe?....

Even if it doesn't meet expectations for a companion piece to the first film, it sounds like it will be one of Ridley's best films in a while. Glad it's a long shoot.

i figured it mean that she believes in what she's doing, and when she believes something she REALLY believes in it, not just passively but actively,

As in, she is very believable as the spiritual successor to Ripley.

I'd been rooting for her casting since it was first rumored and now every interview since the news was made official just makes me happier about her involvement.
