Creative Assembly have released their first official podcast about Alien: Isolation today. In this session, the Alien: Isolation team talks about creating the Alien and answers some of questions submitted by fans. Be sure to listen to it below.
Bleeding Cool has posted an interview they conducted with Scott Allie and Joshua Williamson in regards to Dark Horse’s upcoming Predator comic series, along with some fantastic new cover images:
“With Predator at first there was a drive, at least on my part, to keep Predator sort of loosely connected to the large universe, but as the group and I worked together I started to see areas to blend the books and really make it a cohesive story. And it would be a disservice to the fans and readers to not go where the characters and story takes us.”
Big Comic Page also has an interview with Paul Tobin about the Prometheus series but there doesn’t appear to be any new material in there. Thanks again to Ultramorph for the news.
“In the first phone conversation I had with Scott Allie, we both established that we were more interested in the kind of haunted house vibe of the first film than the guns and ammo feel of the second film. As much as I like both of them, I feel like the secondary franchise tie-in stuff — whether it be comics or video game or whatever — has focused more on the colonial space marines aspect of this since “Aliens” came out.”
As well as that the article mentions a mystery series: “Roberson will team with artist Patric Reynolds for “Aliens” as part of a relaunched line of comics, alongsideJoshua Williamson’s “Predators,” Paul Tobin’s “Prometheus” and Chris Sebela’s “AVP” – as well as one more mystery title — and creative team — yet to be announced.”
The new series are due out around July 2014. Thanks to Ultramorph for the tip.

According to The Wrap, Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus is set for a March 2016 release. Production will allegedly begin this fall after the director is finished with his upcoming film, Exodus. Additionally, Green Lantern writer Michael Green has been brought on board to re-write the original draft for Prometheus 2 by Jack Paglen.
“Prometheus served as an unofficial prequel to Scott’s seminal 1979 sci-fi movie Alien, and the sequel that Green will write aims to be much more alien-y and in line with the terrifying tone of past films in the franchise. Additionally, the sequel is expected to feature multiple David androids, which means there will be more than one Michael Fassbender on screen at the same time, according to an individual familiar with the project.”
Thanks to Gazz for the news.
