The iconic American horror film characters Michael Myers (the fictional eerie masked serial killer from the popular Halloween film franchise) and Leatherface (the fictional chainsaw-wielding cannibal from the equally-popular Texas Chainsaw Massacre film franchise) are real strange maniacs, to say the least.

Americans love horror films and ghouls (perhaps because the masquerading festival of Halloween is so popular in the land of many peoples!), and Michael Myers and Leatherface have become 'culture monsters' of modern times in the same way that Frankenstein and Wolfman were 'culture monsters' of yesteryear.

Imagining the 'strange worlds' these 'culture monsters' occupy can help us evaluate human characterizations of alienation, mutation, mysteriousness, and dark mysticism.

After all, we don't know what 'lurks' on the flipside of the perception axis created by mirrors (a notion explored by the great writer-logician Lewis Carroll), so perhaps what lurks are 'shadow demons' such as Leatherface and Frankenstein, tempting us to be curious about the reality of evil and spectres.

The fun fantasy-spook American horror film series Gremlins presents stories about strange creatures called 'Mogwai' who mutate into deadly miniature reptilian monsters called 'gremlins' who prey on human sensibilities about malicious mischief.

Perhaps Michael Myers (king of Halloween) and Leatherface (king of cannibalism) are 'pedestrian gremlins' encouraging us to meditate on the 'unpredictability' of evolution, something that should stir the fancy of any AVP fan.

So you want an Alien vs Predator vs Myers vs Leatherface PG-13 movie?

I've never liked the slasher genre. Halloween was new at the time and that is why it stands out and leatherface is nothing more than another hick cannibalistic hillbilly, which do exist. I much prefer the primal horror of alien like creatures. I prefer movies that offer a reason or social commentary when it comes to horror. However that doesn't translate to people taking the wrong turn or having premarital sex.
