I don't know if this is where I'm supposed to post this, but I'm having trouble. When I try to change my profile picture it succeeds but then my picture is just the sheet of paper icon with sky and mountains. Help?

try and upload your image with imgur, and refer to that url for your avatar

You need to upload it to an image hosting site like http://imgur.com/ and copy the link to the profile field.
