Not so favourable review of #4 (surprisingly...posted a week ago)

Sounds like a problem is that Dredd overshadows the preds and xenos

But in some alternative universe somewhere, it's been delayed until July.  :P

Was a pretty cool final issue, wish we didnt have to wait so long for it but glad we got it. This issue was a bit sillier but i did like its continued sense of fun.

Probably the weakest of the 4 issues, but overall it was a really enjoyable crossover.

Yeah July 2018

I did enjoy this issue a good end to the story, although it did seem a bit quick, but it probs would have flowed better if it hadn't been delayed constantly

The Alien Predator

I agree with Whiskey, it would've flowed smoother if it wasn't being constantly delayed.

I noticed that the
Spoiler
Predators are kind of unknown in this crossover as opposed to the last one. They were classed as "unknown lifeforms" when the Judges scanned the Predator ship.

In the last crossover, the Predators were well known and a news reported was talking about the hunt taking place lol. I guess despite Dredd in this new crossover "has encountered them before", it sort of has this little contradiction which makes me think they're not really linked and are just their own stories.

Rakai will love it, more multiverse. :P

Of course I love having choices, having alternatives is a good thing.

Now if we can just get Fox to f**king make it official for the mainstream stuff...

I can't help but feel the actual number of people who want that is pretty tiny, while it would probably just serve to confuse most casual fans.

SM

Yep.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the introduction of the manliest Alien of all in the fourth issue, the Beardomorph! XD

I enjoyed the the comic but it felt more like a set-up that was snuffed out in the prologue. It could have benefited with a few more parts and the Aliens and Predators having a greater impact. Also, I've said it many times and people are probably bored with hearing it but... I really don't like the "heroic" Predator buddies of mighty humanity thing. But that's just me and I guess having too many antagonists would make for a clusterf**k of a narrative.

Just finished reading Predator vs Judge Dredd vs Aliens #4-- and what I consider to be the FINAL appearance of the Yautja I grew up with from the 90s to mid 2000s... So what are my thoughts?

After delayed months of waiting... this series starts off with a bang in the first issue, but ends on a whimper. The Predators didn't get to do much in this issue, and I think the clan leader, Bosu, dies without a second thought. Which.. is kind of off-putting. The Spliced Xenomorphs were cool, and weren't done full Kenner, thank God. The Reinstot Queen was a nice touch. I liked this series but felt more could've been done and the last entry felt rushed.

Methinks that the issues which IDW and Dark Horse had may have been a factor in why the ending feels... off.

Since I've been revisiting some of the older crossovers lately and finding I'm actually enjoying them I picked this up on the shelve when I picked up the new comics yesterday. And again, I enjoyed it! I'm not knowledgable about Dredd but I enjoyed him well enough in here.

You can't take these crossovers too seriously so it works as being fun. I liked all the DNA splicing stuff and all the crazy-ass hybrids! Especially enjoyed the Predator design with the Alien torso as armour.

426Buddy

Yeah this crossover was great fun, i really like the predators in this one.

Aliens vs Judge Dredd: Incubus was really cool too. I recommend it if you havent read that one yet.

I think it was actually the first Aliens comic I owned - if not read. I remember picking up the last issue from a local news agent when I saw it on the stand. It was definitely the first I brought myself, if it wasn't the first I read, then that was Superman vs. Aliens from a local library.

Ya I just find the crossovers to be fun reads with my favorite movie monsters. Plus I love seeing different artists' take on Xenomorphs and Predators. Archie vs Predator next?
