Do you think it will and how?

I think the only chance of that is if there's a global apocalyptic event...

Only questions as far as I'm concerned are whether it will beat Avatar to #1 US, Titanic to #2 worldwide, and Jurassic World's opening record.

Twin Drive Sigma Aquarion

I hope it does well, but the critics hate it and the fans cry over it so the prequels look good in comparison.

Yes, please don't fall in the same trap as Halo 5 did.

Even if it's a critical failure, it will still be a commercial success.

More importantly, the way Disney is treating it with multiple sequels and spin off movies already in production, I'd say it will be a success.  As for the fans, It looks like Disney understands what they want to see on the big screen.

So really, it's just down to what the story and characters will be like; and how the movie will end, leading into the next Episode.  Hope it ends in a cliffhanger.  That would be great!

On the other hand, expectations are High and just a single 'Jar Jar' on board could be enough to de-stabilise the whole carefully floated boat.

This. I imagine loads of us already have our tickets booked. It'll do insanely well in the opening week.

The chances of it flopping are literally 0%.

Even if it's shite, it'll still make a ton of money. Although if it really is terrible, it might have a knock-on effect on the next few.

No argument that the film had problems, and I didn't particularly like it, but you can't call it a flop by any stretch of the imagination. It's been ridiculously successful both commercially and with most (wrong!) critics and audiences.
