Q
I saw this book on Chapters.ca and Amazon by Mark Latham to be released on October 20, 2015 called: Bug Hunts: Surviving And Combating The Alien Menace.  No description but it sounds very Alieny.  Anybody know anything about this and if it is in fact pertaining to the AVP Galaxy?  Sure sounds like it...

It seems to be also referred to as: Bug Hunts: A 23rd Century Marine's Guide to Alien Incursions

Hmmm... Osprey publishes a lot of military history books.  I think it's fair to speculate we may have a new guide to the Colonial Marines coming out...

To answer your question. No, officially the book is not connected to the Aliens/Predator universe.  That said, I think the book draw upon a lot of the same tropes and ideas as those franchises, and I think (and hope) that the book will appeal to the a lot of the fans of the same.

They shared a piece of artwork with me that they asked me not to share but it certainly looks inspired by the Alien films. The alien designs are quite Aliens/Tyranid-esque.

But the short answer is no.
