The government and politicians should concern themselves with running the economy rather than interfering with people's sexual lives or what type of porn they watch. Maybe if they didn't spend so much time on this crap they could actually do something about the huge debts they keep on incurring, or run programs that don't always go over time or over budget like they always do.

When was the last time a government in Australia, UK or the U.S actually did a major project esp a military one that didn't take longer than projected and cost millions or billions more than projected.

Well I don't see the need to own a gun or longbow but I agree with you. The UK is an extreme PC dictatorship in disguise...and we are completely at the mercy of the biggest dictatorship called the EU. People think that might sound insane but its true, we have been fooled into thinking otherwise by weak governments that have no balls.

For example the UK currently is considering leaving the EU, at the same time we (as a country) are being threatened by the EU for doing so, threats of fines, more taxes, no help in the future, virtual exile from our own continent etc...The EU only wants us to stay because we are forced to pay the EU billions every year for the privilege of being in the EU!! LOL! Countries of Europe don't need a massive governing body ruling us to be able to trade with each other, its blatant extortion.

The idea and concept of a union of nations/states are nice and all, especially if that union of nations/states is inclusive, pragmatic and progressive in its nature, which rarely is the case unfortunately since money and private interests usually are in the driver's seat.

I mean, if I could decide I would split up the U.S. because right now this "great nation" is a farce where nothing gets done. Separate the North-West (including Northern California), the North-East, Hawaii and Michigan from the reactionary vast wastelands of Teabagistan, and let's get on with our lives (not that it would ever happen since the red states need the blue states way more than the other way around).
So I can totally identify in a way, even though the history and construct of the EU and the US are very much different.

I, however, see it only as a positive thing that you guys have actual gun laws and regulations. The way it is here is horrendous and immoral on every account. I do however agree that this porn thing is kind of silly. I'm sure there are more urging matters in the UK that needs to be addressed and dealt with.

Sounds like mind over matter to me. I have both friends and family moving to Europe as well Canada for the "same" reasons. I guess it depends on what kind of governing style you're ok with and what you consider important and priority.
