Thank you. The project was expensive, but will last a life time and is one of not too many in existence. It was this or the 1979 Kenner doll. I chose this because of its functionality and uniqueness.

Looks great!  8)

Did you make this yourself...or is this a vintage item?

I have seen ads in old Starlog issues for the jacket...though I've never seen one for sale on ebay.

Thank you! Yes, it was made by myself and several other VERY talented people. The base jacket is a hard find (because of sizing UK to USA and they are no longer produced) and the patches and bullion is extremely rare recreations (custom) of the screen accurate ones. I will show some pictures for the comparisons.

I can do more jackets, but be forewarned they are expensive ($550-$750 depending upon screen accuracy)A lot is shipped from overseas artists. As stated, it was an amazing combination of VERY talented people and research. Most of the people involved actually touched and examined the real Dallas jacket from the film (including the prototype). Of course, doing a Kane jacket is less expensive and still sports a bullion, patches, and compression lacing down the sides.

There is another person I found who makes replicas for sale, but she simply poked holes (Yes no sewing..HOLES) in the jackets and laced shoe laces through them. Her cost was $299 USD O.o

Here is a shot of hers... http://s649.photobucket.com/user/ndatmo/media/ALIEN%20Nostromo%20-%20DALLAS%20Jacket%20Replica/ALIENNotromoDALLASJacket-LacingD-1.jpg.html

Congrats.
Those were such unnecessarily cool jackets.

Its things like that that separate Alien from the rest.

I will post pics of my new Kane jacket tomorrow! I pick it up from the seamstress. She did the Dallas jacket. Can't wait!

Got to do lacing and back Nostromo stencil and she's done!

I'll post completed pics as well.

Thanks man! Just gotta find some time to get the lacing and stencil on. I'll post the two afterward.

Every time I visit this thread, I am tempted to jump on eBay and buy an Alien3 screen used sweatshirt and tank top!!! ;D

I'm sorry to report that the screen accurate stuff (Patches and lacing) are all gone. It would take me months to gather up everything again. I can do an inaccurate version, but is that worth anything? I dunno.. I can do NOT screen accurate versions of Kane and Alien 3 Parka. PM me if interested or need info to do one yourself.

Kane jacket completed and new project jacket started!

The new project jacket (ALIEN 3)

Both are looking good flexserve! However, you need to burn/bury the patches on the A3 parka for more realism :P ;D

Thanks! Yeah.. it's a new project. The fake fur around the collar needs removal, patches need weathering and attachment, name tapes need to be ordered, additional stitching needs to be applied to the removed fur section, etc, etc.. it's new, I'll get to it. :)
