DH Insider Vol. 1 Issues 27 and 28?

I was wondering if anyone out there would be able to confirm the existence of issues 27 and 28 or the original run of Dark Horse Insider (from 1989-'91).  I know that issues 14-26 contained the 13 chapters of Aliens Countdown (unless someone is also able to confirm there was anything different than 13 chapters), and issue 26 was printed in October '91 and that issues 27 and 28 were scheduled to wrap up the last two months of the year.

My question arises because in the October '91 Dark Horse Tip Sheet there is a promo for the beginning of an AVP serialization in the next issue of DH Insider (issue 27 of Vol. 1). However, I know for a fact that in issue 1 of DH Insider Vol. 2 (January 1992) an AVP serialization begins. I don't know if they restarted it in Vol. 2 #1 after starting it already in Vol. 1 #27; or if they just held out on the Nov and Dec 1991 issues of Vol. 1 (issues 27 and 28) and started fresh in Jan 1992 with Vol. 2 #1.

So basically if anyone owns/has seen/has a picture of either issues 27 and 28 of Dark Horse Insider Volume 1, it would be much appreciated and clear up a lot of confusion for myself.

DH Insider #27 has chapter 14 of "Aliens Countdown"

DH Insider #28 just has a 2-page ad in the center drawn by Chris Warner and it says "Aliens versus Predator II" by Randy Stradley and Chris Warner with the tag line:  "Things Could Get Ugly"



Not much else in there but solicits from that time.   

I remember the comic serials from Dark Horse Insider Volume 2 were collected into AvP: War #0.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, it seems like the monthly Dark Horse Tip Sheet was a little off on their tracking of where Countdown was at in the DH Insider issues.

This is the back of the August 1991 Tip sheet, and either the author doesn't know the actual definition of "penultimate" or they really thought insider #25 had the second to last chapter.


And this is from the back of the October 1991 Tip Sheet, where they seem to think DH Insider #27 contained the start of the AVP 2 serial (which actually ended up running for 14 chapters, two more than stated here).


Also vikingspawn, how many of the insider issues do you own? I've been trying to do some cataloging of the series but it's a bit tough when I don't own them all and there is so much misinformation out there, even on legitimate Dark Horse material.
