Topic: Why do people idolize Wolf so much?

Wolf had more emotion, character backstory and the only character I gave a s**t about. He is one of the few things in AVPR most people like. Mostly because he takes down dozens of aliens and lives (Even if they are all drunk and the only worth one fighting is a hybrid)

I watched AvP:Poo the other day again (research... HONEST!) and Wolf cops almost as big a raw deal as the Aliens.  He's an idiot.  Randomly shoots at Aliens from long range at a power station (like his moron brethren on the ship), sometimes employs stealth - other times strings up deputies and smashes f**king huge holes in the middle of the road.

Definitely these. Just watch his fighting style (assuming you can see anything in the movie) as it is completely contrary to how an experienced veteran would act.

At OP. I don't think anybody has ever idolized Wolf like your post says. I think he's a cool Predator, but he's far from a Anytime that's for sure. The TC makes him look a little ridiculous when he just takes the whip with him to face the Predalien. He's far from perfect. But is any Predator for that matter? Even Anytime had his silly moments.

Definitely these. Just watch his fighting style (assuming you can see anything in the movie) as it is completely contrary to how an experienced veteran would act.

The biggest one of all: Taking his shoulder cannon off to have a silly mano-mano fight scene with someone he could've killed in like two seconds. Don't get me wrong I love the scene itself and how he just beats the crap out of Arnold but come on, it's really a stupid thing to do when you think about it.

It's cocky, sure, but how is it stupid? Dutch was half-naked and entirely unarmed. If Anytime hadn't jumped in the exact place he did to kill Dutch, he would've waltzed out of that jungle alive. He'd won and he knew it. Dutch got lucky.

Anytime just wanted a bit of extra play time. Killing dutch with his weapons would have been such an anti climax for his hunt.

Well if you want to base it on movie BS then find it works. But then Wolf skinning the cop Ray shouldn't be a big deal because no matter what the aliens and Wolf were going to be found out about OWLF anyway.

As for Anytime, in a logical sense he should've just blasted him but then you have a movie that's anti-climatic like someone stated. But I just think it makes him look foolish. I mean I understand what the filmmakers were saying (warrior vs warrior in a fist fight) but it still comes off silly to me.
