Topic: If you replaced the engineers with predators in Prometheus...

The premise of the question already assumes that Prometheus is not a good film.  There are plenty of threads already debating the credibility of Prometheus...this isn't one of them.  This poll is strictly for those people who already think Prometheus is a bad film.

Both films attempted to be serious with their subject matter but I think that the storyline for AvP is just more in-line with Alien franchise than Prometheus is.  The dialogue is better, the character development is better, and the film has aliens in it. 

My vote is that Prometheus would not be better than AvP.

The proposed alternate take on Prometheus with yautja in place of the jockeys would have to explore the advacement of humanity, rather than its creation. Since the preds had a hand in architectural evolution and such, according to AvP 1. It just wouldn't be as compelling.

well, I think that a number of ideas in the Prometheus film seem to be lifted out of the Alien vs Predator movie but written in differently. If Ridley Scott had been aware of the contents of Paul Anderson's movie, Prometheus may well have been a bit different to the way it turned out

I think the Predator movies (all of them) are quite poor movies... So no, anything associated with Predators would make for a weaker movie.

I would willingly give any combination of bodyparts and/or money to see the Engineers swapped with Alf. It could open up a fantastic set of sequels and origin stories featuring Jones and that is worth all off the money. EVER.
