LEGO The Lord of the Rings has been announced by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The blocky game will be developed by TT Games, the studio behind all of the other brilliant LEGO games to date. LEGO The Lord of the Rings will follow the original storylines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Also known as my favorite movies ever.

Players will assume the role of Frodo and friends as they journey to Mordor in order to destroy The One Ring. Aragorn the Ranger, Gandalf the Wizard, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a Man of Gondor, and Frodo’s Hobbit friends Sam, Merry and Pippin will all be along for the ride. Players will get to, "explore wonders, solve timeless riddles, and overcome endless foes in their quest to destroy the Ring," according to WB.

I doubt that will ever happen. Lego doesn't do toys based on R-rated properties, and their games always coincide with the toylines.

Anyways, Lego LotR looks cool, but it felt weird that they were talking.

I actually like that they are starting to do that. As long has the stick with quotes or actually hire the voices of the characters to do dialogue, like Lego: Batman 2 got Kevin Conroy and such.

The release date is October 26th. Personally, I think this will be awesome. I've loved pretty much every Lego game, save for Indiana Jones 2. And with Lord of the Rings being one of my favorite all time movies...Lets just say I'm pretty stoked.
