That's okay, for some people nothing will ever be enough. :) The best policy is to decide for yourself what you want to accept as canon, and just be happy with it.

I know Alien series is not as mainstream or big as Starwars, but I hope there is some strict ruling about canon stuff. You know how DC and Marvel keep record(Though they still suffer from tons of plot holes, inconsistency, etc)
Fox statement isn't enough imo.

No strict ruling that's enforced to any degree.

Wow... never thought I would get so many answers to a question I didn't ask :D

I've always thought the films were canon, while all the games, novels and comics were just expanding an idea. Either way it's fun to see people discuss it =)

I tried to put them in order.  This was the best I could do.

Predator: Concrete Jungle
Predator: Big Game
Predator: Cold War
Predator: Turnabout
Predator: South China Sea
Aliens: Steel Egg
Aliens: Earth Hive
Aliens vs. Predator: Prey****
Aliens: Nightmare Asylum
Aliens: The Female War
Aliens: Genocide
Aliens: Alien Harvest
Aliens: Labyrinth
Aliens: Rogue
Aliens: Music Of The Spears
Aliens: Berserker
Aliens vs. Predator: War
Aliens vs. Predator: Hunter's Planet
Aliens: DNA War
Predator: Forever Midnight
Aliens: Cauldron
Predator: Flesh And Blood
Aliens: Criminal Enterprise
Aliens: No Exit
Aliens: Original Sin

Aliens vs. Predator: Prey is kind of iffy.  In it, they say that the xenomorphs are a species never encountered before.  I would say that would place it about the same time as Earth Hive.  However, I haven't read all of those, and apparently there's a "grand eraser" or something that erases all documented knowledge of the xenomorphs and naturally over 50 or so years, there's a new generation that's never heard of xenomorphs.

Also, AvP: War & AvP: Hunter's Planet are another thing that's iffy.  Hunter's Planet came out before War, but War is seemingly placed before it.  In all actuality, they're both written as sequels to Prey.  They can sort of work in the order of Prey, War, & Hunter's Planet, but the only problem is a character named Shorty.  However, you can just tell yourself it's a new character also named Shorty.

Hunter's Planet definitely takes place after War. War covers Machiko's escape from the Predators, and Hunter's Planet presumes that already happened.

Forever Midnight takes place in 2117, before Alien but after Steel Egg (which was also written by John Shirley).
