...Absolutely. Without a doubt. I think the idea all along was to show something even worse than what Kane had gone through. For Kane, though it was a painful birth. It was at least relatively quick. A minute or two, and he was gone.

For Dallas, he suffered for hours down there before being found and mercy killed.

Now we don't know that. He was essentially launched into space wrapped in bandages. What's to say he didn't reanimate from xenomorph DNA and became alive to only be suffocating for the last 30 years.
