More than one species of monster?

YeSYeSYeS :)

Why does everyone on these boards assume Prometheus is a 'monster-movie'?

Well, it may not be a monster movie in the general sense of the term, but based on what Ridley said, it seems that creatures will play at least some role.

Come on guys - the leaked first trailer had enough slithering to suggest there's something non human lurking in the shadows lol

In what way? I suppose we can assume that Charles Weyland had at least one child before his demise, if so, then Peter Weyland must be his grandson or something.

Isn't Guy Pearce's name all over the posters? Kind of weird, for a small cameo.

He's a bigger name than other members of the cast.

Weyland isn't the only connection, that must of been a bungle in the translation.

I know, but its a bit shady, isn't it? If he really is in the film "for a minute."

And I quick comparison mock-up:

Please Prometheus, please, rub AVP and Paul Anderson's silliness out of existence...

Seconded, times a thousand.

It seems quite hard to track down these IC Press people...

IC might stand for InterCom. They are the largest Hungarian distributor of movies. Their clients include Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures and Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Apparently they send out newsletters to Hungarian movie sites from time to time and are usually credited as IC Press. That's all I dug up for now.

Obviously there's more then just a name connection. Space Jockey, a Derelict class ship, Gigers influence...something was mistranslated.
