Ebay and most online comic & magazine retail stores would be your best bet.  I did a search and found copies no problem.

Yeah, these don't really seem so much like collector's items as much as they seem like something people regret buying and want to get rid of.

They're on eBay for about 10 bucks, just do a search for "Newt's Tale".

I always liked the comic.  The art was very 80s now that you look back but it was awesome and was extra material in a time when information like that was scarce.

Dunno about that.  There was the novelisation and special edition.  Everything not contained in them was made up by the comic writers.  And not very well.

There was no "special edition" unless you count the grainy, spliced together VHS I bought at a convention in 87 that was bootleg.  I didn't have money for laser disc players back then.

And who could afford that?

Either way, as I said, supplemental Aliens fun was scare and I enjoyed the comic.  That is my opinion.

Didn't cost me anything to record it off the telly.

And your point is? You had the Special Edition and I didn't, so I liked things like Newt's tale. I still like Newt's Tale. The End.

You said info was scarce back then, when it wasn't.  The only new piece of footage that surfaced since then was the Burke cocoon scene.

I think he's mis-remembering the dialogue about how long it takes a message to get from earth to the colony.

Nah, he's kinda right.  Lydecker or whatever his name, says something along the lines of 'remember those wild cats you sent out last week'...

"Last week" is ambiguous.  If you said "last week" on a Monday, it could mean the previous Friday or the previous Tuesday.  Could be 2 or 3 days, could be 6 or 7.  It doesn't confirm how many days travel the Derelict is from the colony either way.

And how did anyone find out any supplemental info was available? I had to wait weeks for Starlog to be released.

You seriously are a pill.
