If an area is smothered in thermal radiation, then surely anything which is limited to seeing in that wavelength would be overloaded and blind?

This is why I've always said the most applicable native environment for Predators would actually be somewhere cool, not heated up.

sarcasm aside, it would be really to cool to find out that we have extraterrestial neighbors relatively close by- whatever they might be.

Besides, if the predators did evolve on that planet, due its size and gravity, the predators are more likely to be attacking our kneecaps, drinking their version of beer and sporting long facial dreads.
