I think another AVP movie will likely happen. The name AVP is a big money maker, Fox just needs someone who can pull it off.

Most likely as a reboot, it will be Rated-R and the future AVP movie will not be set on earth.

There are plenty of other capable directors out there. Plenty. Alfonso Cuaron would be one of my top picks.
