Idk why but im just not excited for this movie

next year Ive got the Marvel movies, Man of Steel and the Godzilla trailer to look forward to

so cant say im real excited for this.

I dont get why this movie is getting a 250 million dollar budget and they are already talking about merchandise? What happens if it flops?
I think itll be like Prometheus

Prometheus didn't flop though. I think the movie will do just fine. I think adding From Guillermo del Toro, the director of Blade II, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Pan's Labyrinth" in the trailers should get enough people hype up for the movie.

Wildly successful at the box office with a fair amount of critical acclaim?

One can only hope.

But that's fine.
While Prometheus isn't everything we were promised and has room for improvement, it's been getting an average of solid reviews and it's regarded as a financial success. Only the hardcore Alien fanbase and a small fraction of the casual moviegoers have been bitching about it.

"Pacific Rim" does not have a budget anywhere near $250 million.

$150-$175 million is more like it.

250 million if you want count marketing since the budget is around 200 million from what I've been told.
