I was thinking if we want kind of mind-blowing they could reveal at the end something like, these beings have invaded countless other Earths in parallel universes/multiverses(something like that) and this Earth is the first one to put up this much of a fight. I don't know how that sounds to the rest of ya just thought I'd share that thought.

del Toro has mentioned this as something he wants to do in a sequel.

Rewatched this the other day, enjoyed even more the second time I saw it. Shame it didn't do well box office wise. Another good film let down by bad marketing *cough*Dredd*cough*

The horrible, disgusting things I'd do for a Dredd sequel

People saw the ads for Pacific Rim and view as it as another Transformers movie or a knock off of Voltron and Gundam.

I loved it when I watched it at the theater with my brother, unfortunatly when I watched it on Blu-ray I found my myself rolling my eyes every few minutes due to the acting and dialogue. I don't know why it didn't bother me before but watching anything other than the action scenes is difficult for me. Still miles better than the transformers movies though.

What purpose would that serve?

I suppose the precursors could get some use out of Jaeger tech mixed with their kaiju.

It's been PC for a while, all of those tee shirt companies had a slew of offerings, NECA has released wave after wave of toys, people are really into it. I was at a con and a woman in front of me was naming Kaiju's and talking about physics involved with the Jaeger's walking in water, etc. My lady and I have a whole shelf of figures in our living room. Bring on the sequel, "elbow rocket!".

He looks pretty good. Perhaps the most uniquely designed Kaiju seen yet.
