Ridley Scott circles on an Alien prequel:
QuoteThere's been some talk. Ridley Scott, Ridley is right now working on Robin Hood, but I think he's toying with the idea and that would be great for us. I mean, it's always been a matter of, really, if you can get the originator to do it that would be the greatest thing, so I've got my fingers crossed, all of them.

Sigourney Weaver shares her enthusiasm on the film:
QuoteRidley is producing it and that makes me happy. I wasn't thrilled with the whole Alien Vs. Predator thing. I never saw them, but one of the reasons I died in (Alien) 3 was to not have anything to do with those (laughs). Just because, you know, I think it just seemed so economically motivated somehow. I feel we did four good movies, and I'm content with that. I hope if they do something new, they will encompass the idea of where the alien first came from, because I think that's an interesting idea -- to find out what happened and "how did it get to us?

Ridley states that the film will take places 30 years prior to Alien:
QuoteIt's a brand new box of tricks.  We know what the road map is, and the screenplay is now being put on paper. The prequel will be a while ago. It's very difficult to put a year on Alien, but [for example] if Alien was towards the end of this century, then the prequel story will take place thirty years prior.

Ridley Scott reveals more information on the story, saying that the film will specifically take place in 2085 when the Weyland corporation hasn't become a merger yet; and it will tell the origins of the Space Jockey.  They are currently on the fourth draft of the script:
QuoteIt's set in 2085, about 30 years before Sigourney [Weaver's character Ellen Ripley]. It's fundamentally about going out to find out 'Who the hell was that Space Jockey?' The guy who was sitting in the chair in the alien vehicle — there was a giant fellow sitting in a seat on what looked to be either a piece of technology or an astronomer's chair. Remember that?
QuoteWeyland hasn't joined Yutani yet, so they go and see Weyland. [The film] is about the discussion of terraforming — taking planets and planetoids and balls of earth and trying to terraform, seed them with the possibilities of future life.

Ridley addresses the atmosphere-foiling issue of brightness in the film due to shooting with 3D cameras.  He also states that the film is the first in a duology, although they are only focusing on the first film for now:
QuoteYou'll have to grade it later.  You'll have to grit your teeth and light it not the way you'd like it, and then later, regrade it.  Repaint it, basically.

It is reported that the script is now complete.  Ridley states that the film explains where the Space Jockey came from and that the film will go further into terraforming and focus on what it takes for interstellar travel.  It is also implied by Ridley that the original Space Jockey was a biological suit with another being inside it.  The original Zeta II Reticuli system will play a large part in the two films as well:

Production designer Arthur Max discusses his plans on designing the prequel:
QuoteI'm in Pinewood now doodling spaceships. I've got a little art department and we're trying to get it off the ground...we can deconstruct the original. That's an interesting challenge to anticipate. Where it all came from. It's origins. It's almost like archeology. You're designing in reverse time.

The film is put into jeopardy as budgetary and creative differences arise:
QuoteScott wants a budget of around $250m to make it a sci-fi spectacular, and is also pushing for an 18-rated level of violence and horror. Fox, however, don't plan on investing anywhere near that sum, and are keen to get a 15 rating to maximise the audience appeal.

More actresses are in talks for the lead role, while Noomi Rapace remains as the likely candidate:
QuoteCarey Mulligan and Abbie Cornish (Scott directed her in A Good Year). But another intriguing possibility I've heard more than once today is that Noomi Rapace also met and left a strong impression.

Damon Lindelof turns in his first draft of the Alien prequel, satisfying Fox executives due to his script requiring less set pieces and atoning to a PG-13 rating.  Natalie Portman is rumored to star as a Colonial Marine general.  Vulture also explains why the PG-13 rating doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing:
http://bit.ly/goaacq
QuoteThe thinking is that if the original Alien were released today, minus the F-bombs, you could still get a PG-13. Alien is a very Jaws-ian movie: There's no sex, and while there's lots of violence, most of it is off-camera. Maybe you'd have to cut away from certain scenes two seconds earlier, but it could be done.

On the same day, details emerge on the film's plot, entirely restating the premise of the previously leaked Harvest script:

January 14, 2011
The Alien prequel is officially titled 'Prometheus' with a release date on March 9, 2012.  Of the five major roles to be cast, Noomi Rapace is the first actor that has officially signed on to star as 'Elizabeth Shaw'.  Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are both circling the other big female lead as Vickers.  It is revealed that the story has expanded into new directions, and that Damon Lindelof was instructed to "go off and come up with what they want" using the 'Alien DNA'.  Ridley Scott and Lindelof elaborate below:
QuoteWhile Alien was indeed the jumping off point for this project, out of the creative process evolved a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place. The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative. I couldn't be more pleased to have found the singular tale I'd been searching for, and finally return to this genre that's so close to my heart.
QuoteIn a world flooded with prequels, sequels and reboots, I was incredibly struck by just how original Ridley's vision was for this movie. It's daring, visceral and hopefully, the last thing anyone expects. When I sat in a movie theater as a kid, feet raised off the floor for fear that something might grab my ankles, I never dreamed in my wildest imagination I would one day get to collaborate with the man responsible for it. Working alongside him has been nothing short of a dream come true.

Charlize Theron officially signs on to star in Prometheus.  Fassbender states that Prometheus is "absolutely connected to Alien":

"When I read it, I was like, 'Well, okay, another Alien. Where do you go with this idea?' And then I sort of read the script, and it's new, yet it's in keeping with the old traditions as well. On the same day, another article surfaces, hinting at the validity of the Alien Harvest script that was leaked back in January 2010:
Spoiler
It is reported that part of the film takes place on a planet that has been terraformed (presumably by space jockeys) to create a suitable environment in which the Alien would prosper as a bioweapon.  It reveals that the Alien won't be recognizable until later in the film as it evolves.  The article also states that the rebuilt Space Jockey is not being called by its cult name, hinting that it is rather simply known as "Engineer 1" as reported in previous news

Idris Elba, Sean Harris, and Kate Dickie are cast into the film.  Their roles are yet unknown.  Amidst of this, Ridley Scott denies that the film is a prequel to Alien, while Michael Fassbender reaffirms that the film still takes place in the Alien universe.  Filming is reported to begin in three weeks.  Ridley and Fassbender elaborate below:
QuoteIt's the story of creation, the gods and the man who stood against them. It's not a small film.  I'm using the giant James Bond 007 stage at Pinewood and six other sound stages to film it.
http://bit.ly/g8N5Cy
QuoteIt's a different story, but it's also got the traditional roots. 'Alien' fans will recognize things in it. It's not ignoring 'Alien,' there's still a link to that world. But it's a different story. It's definitely connected, though.

British actor Rafe Spall is cast into the film.  Noomi Rapace discusses the similarities between her character and Ripley.  Shooting is scheduled to begin on March 21st at Pinewood Studios:
http://bit.ly/etdV2Y
QuoteShe's definitely her own.  She's a scientist and she's very bright and she's a believer. They have some similarities, but she's very much her own. I don't think people will compare [her] so much to Ripley when they see her. Ripley was a hero for me.  I have many ideas and he (Ridley Scott) has many ideas, and now we try to find her.  I will step into her shoes in March and be here for six months, so it's quite a long shoot.

It is revealed that shooting has commenced in Pinewood Toronto Studios for a three-week shoot.  Michael Fassbender shares his enthusiasm on his involvement in the film:
http://bit.ly/gZUhvb
QuoteIt's amazing. Jesus. I mean, I'm pinching myself on a regular basis, really. I couldn't have asked for a better position to be in. Ridley Scott is obviously a super-smart guy, and a great filmmaker. And it's a really, really good script. I was really surprised by the originality of it, and yet it still holds a lot of what the original films -- the story, rather; there's still a very strong link to that. But then it's a totally fresh outlook, as well. So, yeah. I'm really excited about it. It's a very intelligent script. I've got about a week between this film and that, so I've got to get my shit together.

QuoteHe (Ridley) attracts the best people to work with him, actors as well as film crews and so it's a joy to work with him
QuotePrometheus is in some ways connected to that (the universe), yes. Is it in storyline? I'm not at liberty to say but I will tell you that if you can imagine a young Ridley Scott making a film like Alien [in the '70s], just imagine what he can do now.

Noomi Rapace speaks more on her role and on the characters in the film.  Concerning whether or not the film brings back the psychological horror of Alien, she replies "Yes, kind of".  It revealed that filming in the UK began on March 21st:
QuoteShe's not that damaged which for me is kind of nice.  She has an inner strength that is quite beautiful and a pureness too. She's very obsessed with finding out [about] something.   What I like so much about the Alien movies is that [the characters are] out there in space and it's weird, but [they] are [also] very human and very down to earth. That's what [Ridley] created and that's who he is, and I think we'll probably see that again on this one. I'm occupied until late July or August.

An insider reveals a plethora of information on the film:
Spoiler
QuoteBe aware, there is a campaign of disinformation that is going to be used about this upcoming movie, I do not know that if inadvertently I am being used, however, the manner in which the conversation came about, I seriously doubt it.

Ridley Scott's sci-fi movie, currently going by the name Prometheus, is going to be a very large and intense story, with a scope that is epic, the final act is where the movie switches gears and shifts into Aliens territory. Pinewood houses an exact replica of the H R Giger Space Jockey command post. You may notice in the original Alien that the Space Jockey had a puncture on its considerably large chest, where the xenomorph broke out through the flesh of the creature and broke through the biomechanical armor it wears. You may also notice how big the Space Jockey is in relation to its human counter parts in the film. So imagine how big the baby must be, which is yet to grow. Then imagine quite a few of these. If you can do that, you got a pretty good grasp on the final act. And do not be expecting the traditional look either, these are very different creatures that will keep the general architecture of the xenomorph, but will have a considerably different look, and do very perverse things.

However, before all of this I hear that the story is not only reminiscent of 2001, but is also trying to push the boundaries of what a modern tent pole science fiction movie could be. This is all I can share, but trust me, you seriously need to start being excited about this project, because not only is this I am assured, not nostalgia for nostalgia reasons, but a whole new spin on that old chestnut.

The story is a very closely guarded secret in Hollywood, and while it is not a direct prequel "officially" it has more than just passing ties towards the Alien saga's canon. You will have all the things that worked in the Alien canon, and very new and fresh and some controversial ideas presented, sexuality is dealt with quite directly. There may even be a robot or two. And the ship, which I am told is the current titles name, Prometheus. Highly original, both in concept and design I hear.

Michael Fassbender, now three weeks into filming, talks about the spaceship set of Prometheus, the secrecy of his character in the film, and working with director Ridley Scott:
QuoteI walk on the set and I feel like I'm walking on a spaceship.  It's breathtaking.  All the various panels and screens and it's just dealing with a top-notch art department and carpenters and the riggers and everything that goes into putting that together. It's just, well, breathtaking, all of it.
QuoteI feel I've got it at my fingertips, it's there but challenging and, you know, I'm excited. I've got a few ideas that I'm running with and I think I've got a grasp on it but it's always something that, organically, moving on its own course. I'm having a lot of fun with it. There's a lot of interesting quirks and niches to him and I'm having a lot of fun exploring it.
QuoteIt's great. He's just so precise and fun and mischievous and just full of interesting and quirky ideas for the character. They come to you in passing but then he lets you run with it and there's a lot of freedom there. I'm really just enjoying it and everything in general, the whole crew is so veteran and talented from all departments down, the camera, wardrobe, makeup, props, the works — you've got the cream of the crop and it's an honor just to be allowed to be part of it.

At Comic Con it is revealed that Charlize Theron's character Meredith Vickers is a head of the future corporation seen in the past Alien films.  Damon Lindelof states that Blade Runner was one of the inspirations for the script.  He states that the visual aesthetic of Alien was also used in Prometheus and that a few modern concepts were implemented as well.  Lindelof also reveals that green screen was used minimally and that practical effects for the film were used whenever possible.  Ridley Scott confirms the possibility of the presence of two androids in the film, hinting at the validity of marketsaw's leaked report back in April. A detailed description of the footage shown at Comic Con is also released:
Spoiler
QuoteHere in Comic-Con's Hall H, we saw a special featurette about Ridley Scott's new alien movie. The featurette starts with a medley of past Ridley Scott films, and then the title card, "RIDLEY SCOTT RETURNS TO THE GENRE HE REDEFINED, WITH AN ORIGINAL SCIENCE FICTION EPIC PROMETHEUS." At first, you see Ridley standing in a studio, and then in a big open space with weird ribs on the walls, and Scott says, "So here we are, I'm back again." He explains that it's a James Bond studio (Pinewood) and he could fit seven and a half jumbo jets in here.

And then the actual footage from the film starts, and its a huge flood of creeptastic imagery that recalls Alien but also a bit of 2001: A Space Odyssey. There are guys in pressure suits exploring an ancient chamber with weird hieroglyphs, and a guy in a spacesuit walking through a sliding door into a clean white chamber. And a guy (who might be Michael Fassbender) pulling a weird jelly-looking thing out of a canister. And as Ridley Scott's voiceover notes that things that may look small in the film will turn out to be important, there is a shot of a drop of blood on a finger. There is Charlize Theron on a table with bandages wrapped around her breasts, as though she's waking from hypersleep.

And then the footage gets faster and more furious, with a guy in a visor looking down at something, a woman in a suit walking into a red entryway, and a globe, and then Scott says, "The cast find an establishment which is not what they expected it to be, it's a civilization but what we find in it is very uncivilized behavior." And then there is insane carnage and people with goop inside their space helmets and someone shooting a flamethrower, and mayhem breaking loose in confined spaces. Meanwhile, Scott's voiceover is saying that there will be biomechanoids and the film will "break new ground." We see a giant pale planet with rings around it.

And then we see Charlize Theron doing pushups naked. Says Scott in the video, "There is a DNA of the original Alien, [but] that's as far as it goes, everything else is completely different. It's all about everything." And now the people in the footage are crying and screaming and freaking out and the video is flickering like an interrupted signal. And Scott concludes, "Of course, what i want to do is scare the living shit out of you."

It is reported that filming will move over to Spain from late September to December where scenes involving a water tank and a ship will be shot.  Rafe Spall shares his enthusiasm on his involvement in the film, revealing a possible spoiler about his character's fate:

QuoteDoing Prometheus was what you imagine being an actor is like when you're five. In a spacesuit, on another planet, getting killed by an alien. It was a real treat, it felt like being a part of movie history. As an actor, you try and be cool, but one of the reasons you become an actor is because you're a film fan. And then you're like, 'Oh my god, Ridley Scott just spoke to me!' I did this screen test for him once before, for a part I didn't get in the end, but I went to his office and it was the most nervous I've ever been.

Patrick Wilson shares his enthusiasm on the film and talks about the significance of his character:
QuoteIt was an absolute thrill, I was blown away by [the script] and I don't use that sort of phrase a lot, but I was blown away by it, so excited that I wanted to read it again. I just kept re-reading it, even though I knew what was coming. And put it this way, I've never done this, I've never finished the shooting on a movie, and then on the ride home read the script again. I had no reason to read it, it was not work-oriented, I just really loved it, it's so cool. As you can imagine, [the film] is very wonderfully exiting, and yet so complicated and layered, which to me is what science fiction is all about, when it operates on many, many levels.
QuoteThere is an importance to my character, certainly size [of the role] was not the issue, It's an exciting, thrilling script, so to be a part of it on any level, I said 'Yes, just tell me where you want me to be, I will be there.' It was great. It was nice to come in just as they were finishing shooting, just to play a little bit.

Set photos of a space jockey chair are leaked.  Damon Lindelof discusses his collaboration with Ridley and the various roles of the characters:

Quote
On Collaborating with Ridley:
Having done 'Lost' for six years, I felt this tremendous responsibility because I'm one of the visionaries behind the show, so there's no safety net below you. When I got the call [from Ridley] I had this tremendous amount of relief and comfort that Ridley Scott is going to be the safety net. What ensued was a series of conversations where I was kind of interviewing Ridley to get a sense of the movie he wanted to make. Once I got a sense of that, then it was really about channeling that idea so that I was realizing his vision, as opposed to imposing my vision on it. That was my perspective. His perspective was more kind and generous in terms of ideas that I brought to the movie. But really everything I was coming up with was just a different spin on what he was saying to me.

On Michael Fassbender's Role:
He plays a robot. One of the things that evokes the idea of 'Blade Runner' is, 'What does the movie look like from the robot's point of view?' If you were to ask him, 'What do you think about all of this? What's going on? What do you think about these humans who are around you?,' wouldn't it be cool if we found a way for that robot to answer those questions. When you cast a guy like Fassbender, who's going to bring a lot more to it than [makes clichéd robot movements] — that was me doing the robot, I don't know if you could tell — it's not Anthony Daniels. All due respect. He's phenomenal. But C-P3O...

On Charlize Theron's Role:
Her character's name is Meredith Vickers and she's sort of a corporate entity. That's another one of the familiar things from the 'Alien' movies — that there are corporate interests in play. I feel like Charlize brought a new spin on that old variation. It's a remix .... I don't think she's slimy [like Paul Reiser's character in 'Aliens']. She's not the fast-talking, snake-oil face of the company. By the way, "What company is she a face of?," I think is a big part of the fun. As we were developing the script, she had some really cool ideas that made it not the suit you're used to.

On The Ensemble:
I think one of the really cool things about the first 'Alien,' if you watch it cold, Ripley is kind in the background like one of the crew members, and you're like, 'Skerrit's [who played Captain Dallas] the hero of the movie,' and he's one of the first to go. And then you're like, 'It's [the engineer played by] Harry Dean Stanton.' And, no, he's gone... and suddenly Sigourney Weaver, in the last 40 minutes of the movie, is the only one left alive. I think the idea of building a really cool ensemble and again presenting the audience with like, 'Who's going to be left standing at the end of this movie? Maybe all of them. Probably not,' [that's] part of the fun of what we set out to do.

Filming in Spain has been delayed until November.  In a Norwegian interview Noomi Rapace gives more insight on her character's backstory and development arc in the film:
http://bit.ly/ozVRTd
QuoteI play Elizabeth Shaw, researcher and archaeologist. She's English but was raised in Africa because her father was a missionary. From him she learned to believe in God, and she has a strong inner self.

She is the most complete person I have ever played. She has an inner light. She's very stubborn and determined.

She lost her parents when she was a child, so she's been alone from a young age. But she's very intelligent. I know that when one has to survive alone from an early age, one becomes strong.

But also fragile, because the hurt child within her hasn't been able to evolve in a natural way. You get easily hurt  emotionally. She's full of hope, a dreamer, a little naive.

Halfway through the movie a lot of things happen and she turns into a fighter. Another part of her comes to life
On her character's resemblance to Ripley:
QuoteYes, absolutely! There is a relationship there. I saw 'Alien' as a teenager and was blown away. Can it really be like that? She was the first female star. With 'Alien' and 'Thelma and Loise', Ridley has created a lot of hope and dreams.

A detailed version of a previous rumored plot outline is leaked:
Spoiler
QuotePROMETHEUS
The movie opens with a montage of Earth's creation.
Its surface's a magma ocean until it slowly cool down enough for the crust to solidify.
The atmosphere and the oceans form, microscopic life appears.
Evolution follows its path leading to the first Australopithecus.
An alien spaceship lands on the planet, nearby an ape community is watching.
The apes approach the spaceship, a female Australopithecus dares to get closer to one of the ship's
entrance/vent. She shrieks as "something" grabs and pulls her inside.
Her scream fades as we jump centuries later.
Our future.
Alien artifacts are discovered in Africa.
The found not only leads to the conclusions that human evolution was genetically enhanced by an
advanced alien race, but that Earth itself might have been their creation too.
The artifacts give coordinates to a planet outside our solar system that could be the alien's home
world.
The Weylan Company, the leading force in space exploration and bio engineering, sets to launch an
expedition toward the planet hoping to gather alien technology.
The interstellar spaceship PROMETHEUS will carry scientists, security personnel, theological advisors,
company execs and one of the first artificial human/android.
Years later, the Prometheus enters the alien planet system.
While the Prometheus stays in orbit, the crew uses the Magellan space shuttle to land on the planet.
Upon exploration they discover remains of a pyramid leading to a temple entombed in cave galleries.
The temple's enter is all stone but once inside it's all biomechanical architecture.
The humans venture deeper inside, discovering hundreds of strange urns around a giant sculpture of
a human head with biomechanical features. While searching it they trigger a mechanism that
"opens" the head to reveals a gigantic chair, a creature seated in.
It starts waking up, the humans are scared shitless but mesmerized.
The huge creature moves out of his chair.
It's standing over the humans, towering 7 fts tall over their head.
Suddenly its chest "opens" revealing inside a humanoid being.
He was actually wearing a biomechanical spacesuit/armor.
Exhausted by his wake up from years (centuries?) of cryo sleep, he falls out of his biomechanical suit.
He's brought back to the Magellan and an urn with him.
The humanoid aka the Engineer still unconscious is under medical observation
The crew's amazed by how close he is to the human anatomy.
Meanwhile the urn is analyzed but its content accidently contaminates a science officer plunging him
into coma, something starts to grow in his abdominal area.
The Engineer awakens and tells his story.
He's the last of his race, a civilization of explorers, scientists, creators, gods to the humans.
He was one of their leaders, a scientist with incredible knowledge.
The humans are one of the many experiments throughout the universe that he conceived, their
initial purpose being slave labor.
The Engineer's impressed by the level of intelligence his creation reached.
He has lengthy interaction with the Prometheus' crew learning more about the world the humans
have made for themselves. David, the artificial human's his favorite interlocutor.
He admires his precise mind and emotionless decisions.
Their relation is closely monitored by Meredith Vickers, the company's suit.
The Engineer shares some of his seemingly magical technology with the crew.
He reveals that his temple is actually some sort of Noah's ark, the urns containing the DNA of his
people. The Engineer's quite charismatic, charming even but as it will be revealed he's also a
mischievous and very perverse creator.
He promises a new Paradise to the ones who will obey and accept him as their God.
Some do, the others question his identity and agenda.
Tension rises...
The Engineer tricks his followers into being impregnated by the contents of the urns, promising them
that they will become his equal once their DNA is modified.
But what the followers don't know is that the urns are actually past experiments that the Engineer's
tested on his own race, leading to their extinction.
He became so obsessed with his experiences, whose ultimate goal is to create the perfect organism,
that he only envisioned his people as source material, as lab rats.
Those experiments are highly compatibles with human DNA since it's close to the Engineer's.
Meanwhile in the medical bay, the contaminated science officer starts to convulse.
Something eviscerates his guts and takes control of him.
Bones cracks, skin shreds, his body morphs into a terrifying creature that immediately attacks the
crew member present in the room.
The Engineer orders his followers to kill all the non-believers and leaves the Magellan.
Vickers follows him to his temple, which is actually housing his spaceship (seen in the opening of the
movie). There he initiates the transformation of the alien planet into the promised Paradise.
The battle rages on aboard and outside the Magellan, where the weather is reaching apocalyptic
proportions as the planet started its transformation.
The followers have already killed some non-believers and they have the upper hand when the
Creature appears and attacks with incredible savagery.
The surviving followers start to convulse and morph too.
On their way to the temple to settle the score with the Engineer, the non believers manage to kill a
few creatures but the cost is high and only two survivors are left, Elizabeth Shaw and David the
artificial human.
They make it to the temple just in time as the alien spaceship's starts its ascent.
Creatures also made it, ready to attack the survivors but they settle down and behave as the
Engineer, their master, enters the room.
He's impressed by Shaw's skills to survive.
He's willing to forgive her if she accepts him as her true God then turns to David offering him a place
at his side. A place that David's "sister" already accepted he says as Vickers enters the room.
Like David, Vickers is an artificial human.
Her mission was to make sure that the exploration team would bring back any alien technology that
would be discovered to the Weylan Company at any cost.
But not anymore, she has now other plans for her makers.
The alien spaceship is now in space.
Below, the planet's almost finished its transformation.
Sky's blue, green's everywhere, oceans rise.
On the ground the Magellan has been destroyed.
Only debris remains.
The Engineer adds that he will make of David and Vickers more than just artificial creatures thanks to
his technology and offers this new Paradise as a gift.
The alien spaceship descends toward the planet.
David's conflicted by this God who's treating him like an equal and his allegiance to his human
creators. But when the Engineer reveals his plan to set course toward Earth and reap what he sawed
to continue his experience, David takes a stand against him.
He throws the contents of an urn at the Engineer's face.
Whose laughs turns into a shriek as his chest is punctured by a creature never seen before.
The Engineer has a devilish smile as he watches the creature.
The perfect organism...
It jumps at the Engineer's face finishing him off viciously.
Vickers runs into hiding as the followers/creatures resume their attack.
The newborn Creature grows at an exponential rate, just a few minutes later it's bigger than a man.
The followers/creatures stop their attack as they seem afraid by the now huge Creature.
It attacks them with incredible savagery ripping them to bloody bits and pieces.
The 2 Prometheus survivors flee deeper into the alien spaceship, playing a dangerous game of cat
and mouse with the Creature.
Shaw is discovered but David lures the creature to another direction.
He orders Shaw to run for cover as he provokes the Creature.
She refuses and fights back with a flamethrower, but the weapon runs dry.
Thanks to David's super-human strength and speed they manage to resists the creature's attacks.
David gets close enough to badly wound the Creature with his bare hands.
But when he's about to give the fatal blow the unmanned spaceship crashes on Paradise.
Minutes after the crash.
The alien spaceship is in bad shape.
Smoke's everywhere.
A large part of the hull is ripped open, letting the sunlight in.
The Creature's lying in a pool of blood, motionless.
Nearby David, who seems to be dead.
A sun beam awakens Shaw, she looks like hell but she made it ok.
She walks toward the hull opening, feeling the heat of the sun on her skin as she covers her eyes.
The sunlight is blinding after so many years in the darkness of space.
For a moment she forgets about everything, she gazes at the view of the virginal planet.
Reminding her images of what Earth looked like just a century ago.
Shaw comes to her senses, sees David's body and runs toward him but Vickers stops her with one
violent blow that sends her flying all across the room.
Vickers's raving about the new worlds she'll create and what she's going to do to humanity with the
technology that God himself's left her.
She will not let an unworthy human soil Paradise
Shaw escapes to the primal planet.
She runs as far, as fast as she can, exhausted she hides near a huge waterfall.
But Vickers's fast, she's quickly on her. They fight but Shaw doesn't stand a chance.
Vickers grabs her by the throat and is about to drop her into the waterfall when her chest explodes.
