To be fair, if you're well-armed and prepared, one Alien isn't an enormous threat.

Depends on the quarters. Not to derail the thread but I think up-close-and-personal the Aliens would likely have the advantage. You should never want to fight the Alien up close, even if you are a Predator.

The first look we got an AvP, 13 years ago today. I feel so old right now.

The most exciting times for me before AvP was released were the pre-release material. Didn't Fox do a whole set of production videos throughout the shooting of it? All that stuff was great.

Then I saw the movie.

They did a few videos. They actually ended up showing a lot of the fight sequences well before the film came out.

Half the fun of these movies is all the lead-up to them as well. Good memories.  :)

To the original comics credit, the first Predator that tries to do that in the proper story ends up getting shanked in mere moments and is basically called an idiot by Machiko.

The movie actually looked better in production stills than it did in the final color corrected version where they turned everything monochromatic blue.

When Requiem's anniversary rolls around you gotta post that hi-lar-ious B-movie shot of Wolf holding the overbite alien by the jaw.

I don't think he looks particularly bulky in that shot. Not as slender as the originals when you've got all the armour around the chest and shoulders but it goes in at the waist quite a lot. I think most of the shots where it's just Ian Whyte in the costume look perfectly fine.

The original.
