I meant that it's foundation is. And Home Town Security isn't their first, Comic Book Men (which doesn't feature stupid set up crap) is.

True...and as much as I enjoyed CBM, I have to argue that there's no way the Jason Mewes episode wasn't at least partially staged.

Walking Dead movie?
http://io9.com/5934664/is-the-walking-dead-the-movie-in-the-works

Eh, I don't know...I'm content with the TV series and comic, to be honest. Maybe a movie with different characters could be cool, but I don't need to see the same story told for the third time now...

I think the movie will be more of a theatrical "Series finale" more to say which would be awesome if they ended the series with a movie in theaters.

Whatever it is, I like the sound of it. Even if it was just another adaptation of the same thing.

Some info on one of the new characters.

Quote
“Milton is the details guy. He’s the guy that works with the Governor, who is monitoring all situations and is trying to help the Governor make sense of this world that they’re living in. He’s not exactly a scientist, but he’s a smart guy that is trying to find out how zombies behave. Watching him do his little experiments is going to be a lot of fun,” says executive producer Robert Kirkman.

Showrunner Glenn Mazzara added, “We were examining, ‘How do people survive in this apocalyptic world, and what can people contribute? And we didn’t think it was plausible that every single character we meet is an efficient zombie killer. We just didn’t buy that everyone we know would be active and deft enough to kill every walker. We wanted to show how other people survive, and Dallas has come in and helped us establish that character. He just adds a lot of heart and humanity to Woodbury, which further complicates what that is. That is a real town with real people and real survivors. It’s not necessarily a group of bad guys.”

Cool. I guess he's a potential replacement for the doctor, then?

Damn, at first I thought that was Thomas, one of the prison inmates.

After reading the description, Milton sounds a lot like Eugene.

Thomas would be interesting to see, but Axel is the one that really needs to get introduced! :D And, if I recall correctly, Kirkman is a huge Axel fan as well.

If they do, who should play Axel?

Found some cool pics taken from the set:

Michael Rooker posted this on his twitter, it features him with IronE Singleton (T-Dog) and a new character that will be featured in the show:

Also, I don't have any confirmation of the following mid-season finale SPOILERS being true; If they are, then you're in for one hell of a surprise!

According to an insider, Episode 8 of Season 3 (the mid-season finale) will feature:
