Alien vs. Predator: Evolution Update 1.3 Released

Angry Mob Game’s Alien vs. Predator: Evolution has been update recently in all platforms. This update adds plenty of unlockable content which includes additional playable characters, side missions, weapons & the introduction of a new mini-game.

Alien vs. Predator: Evolution Update Released

Angry Mob Games has released a new update for the recently released mobile game, Alien vs. Predator: Evolution (iOS & Android). This update attempts to fix many of the problems and gameplay issues pointed out by fans that were present in the previous version. You can find the full patch notes bellow:

Optimizations

• Fixed crash issues
• Memory optimizations
• Thermal vision effect runs faster

Controls

• Camera doesn’t auto-rotate during combat
• New option to make the player auto-lock on nearby enemies
• Drone Alien runs faster
• Plasma cannon auto-locks on enemies faster
• Execution swipes are performed easier (you can also swipe anywhere on the screen, and start an execution by pressing the button in the lower right, on iPad)

Balancing

• New difficulty option added: play on normal or hard mode
• You don’t take damage while performing execution moves
• Many difficulty spikes have been adjusted
• Plasma cannons do more damage

Other tweaks

• Fixed achievements posting issues
• Scientists were removed in the 3rd Predator Mission
• Changed Alien execution scream sound
• Various other minor tweaks and bug fixes

First Look at Creative Assembly’s Alien Game?

A new image showing what could be the first look at Creative Assembly’s upcoming Alien game has been spotted online recently at the developer’s official website here. The alleged screenshot, which is edited out of the same office photo on Creative Assembly’s Twitter background, appears to show a female test dummy wearing a T-shirt with a Nostromo logo on it. You can check it below or see it at the source.

Back in 2011 it was stated that Creative Assembly came to Sega with the pitch and created a demo in 6 weeks which was labelled as “fantastic” and “out of this world“.

Sources close to the studio have revealed to us that a demo of an early prototype was based around recreating the feel of the medical bay aboard the Nostromo and lasted for about a minute.

Unfortunately, Aliens: Colonial Marines failed to meet expectations and left many fans with bitter sweet taste in their mouths. Will this be the case for Alien vs. Predator: Evolution? “You play alternating missions as an Alien or Predator; marines are only here for the munching and slicing this time around. The first missions for both species are interesting as you start as a doomed Alien and Predator under siege by the Super Predators. You can put up a good fight, but ultimately, Mr. Black takes you out. As a Predator, you receive the distress call from your defeated clan mate, only to have your ship blasted in orbit by the Super Predators.“

Alien vs. Predator: Evolution by Angry Mob Games and Fox Digital Entertainment is now available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play for £2.99 / $4.99. With playable campaigns for both the Alien and Predator, the app offers a brand new story and battles within the Alien vs. Predator universe, along with character progression, upgradeable weapons, armor and abilities.

AvP: Evolution Release Date Announced

13 Minutes of Aliens RPG Gameplay Footage

A new gameplay video of the cancelled Aliens RPG videogame by Obsidian Entertainment has surfaced online recently. It features over 13 minutes of footage that show character customization, dialogue, the Alien queen and other features from the game. Angry Mob Games, creators of the Predators videogame (iOS & Mac) released in 2010 and developers of the upcoming Alien vs. Predator: Evolution game for iOS and Android, due for release Q1 2013, join us for an interview about their new Alien vs. Predator title. This interview was elaborated after giving the community the chance to submit their own questions a few months ago. Better late than never. “Throughout the Alien campaign, you go through the whole Alien life-cycle, all the way from the Xeno egg, to playing as a Facehugger impregnating a human, to a Chestburster and then maturing into a full grown Alien Drone. You can later on evolve your body into various Alien types, including the Warrior, Runner, Praetorian and others.”

Fox Digital Entertainment and Angry Mob Games have released a new trailer and collection of images for their upcoming mobile title Alien Vs. Predator: Evolution.

“On a distant planet, the blood feud between Predator clans continues to rage. In a final attempt to eradicate the Jungle Hunter Clan, the Super Predators secure the capabilities of an unlikely and unwilling species, the Aliens. As an Alien, you must ultimately destroy the Super Predators and free your species from enslavement. As a Jungle Hunter Predator, you must eliminate the Alien Queen in order to prevent the Super Predators from annihilating your clan.“
