Prometheus Characters

Here’s an overview of the characters in Prometheus. As little information has been released about them, expect the information below to change over the course of the next few months. As usual, the page contains spoilers.

	Elizabeth Shaw (Played by Noomi Rapace) Elizabeth Shaw is a researcher and archaeologist. She’s British but was raised in Africa because her father was a missionary. From him she learned to believe in God, and she has a strong inner self. She’s very stubborn and determined. She lost her parents when she was a child, so she’s been alone from a young age. But she’s very intelligent. She’s full of hope, a dreamer, a little naive. Halfway through the movie a lot of things happen and she turns into a fighter. She can be seen exploring the Ampule Chamber with David and Holloway. A bit later, she’s at the Prometheus ship and gets blown away. Another part of her comes to life. From the teaser trailer, I gather that she gets pregnant somehow and the gestation period has been rapidly speeded up. She gives birth to something and survives. She can also been seen escaping the alien spacecraft rolling over at the end of the teaser.
	Meredith Vickers (Played by Charlize Theron) Meredith Vickers is sort of a corporate entity, possibly in the same vein as Burke in Aliens. Her character is well-known for doing naked press-ups in the film. A production still shows her on a ship with Captain Janek. In the teaser trailer, you can see her escaping the Prometheus ship in what appears to be an escape pod. At the end, she can be seen escaping with Shaw.
	David (Played by Michael Fassbender) David is a robot (perhaps similar to Ash in Alien or Bishop in Aliens). He explores the Ampule chamber with Shaw and Holloway. He can also be seen studying an Ampule on board the Prometheus. At some point, David is the navigation area of the alien spacecraft and can be seen controlling the holographic display.
	Holloway (Played by Logan Marshall-Green) A production still shows him exploring the Ampule Chamber with David and Shaw. He gets infected with something and he begins to transform. It’s speculated that he is the ‘mutant‘ we saw in the teaser trailer.He is also seen kissing Shaw in TV Spot #3.
	Captian Janek (Played by Idris Elba) Janek is the captain of the ship.
	Peter Weyland (Played by Guy Pearce) Peter Weyland is the owner of Weyland Corp. Guy Pearce was seen in the viral video but is yet to be seen in any trailers so far.
	Chance (Played by Emun Elliott)
	Ravel (Played by Benedict Wong) Ravel can be seen on the Prometheus ship with Captain Janek.
	Other actors include Patrick Wilson, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie.
