The Kombat Pack 2 trailer featuring the first Mortal Kombat X Alien gameplay is now online and available for viewing! Early in December it was announced that Alien would be joining Predator in the Mortal Kombat series as a playable character in the Kombat Pack 2 downloadable content. The official trailer for Kombat Pack 2 is now available!
“The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 Gameplay Trailer showcases the Kombatants being introduced to the game’s playable roster in 2016 including the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface, Triborg and Bo’ Rai Cho.”
The trailer shows some of the Alien’s moves and abilities which include calling in an egg, facehugger and additional Aliens. It also shows off the Alien headbiting an opposing character and some of those armblades that the Alien seems to have inherited from its host, Baraka.
All 3 variations of the Alien skin can be seen in this trailer. You can see a smooth head, a ridged head and some sort of crest-type head. They all seem to have the arm blades, stocky build though and shorter head as well.
The Alien is one of four characters to be included in this newest downloadable content pack. The other new characters include Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface, Bo Rai Cho, and Tri-Borg. There is no specific news of a release date other than the first quarter of 2016.

Like XenoHunter99, I don't really get the hate but at the same time... I do. I do understand that the reason for the anger is that the design isn't really up to the high standards which the fandom has set up for itself, the fandom wanted something which was... essentially Big Chap. A lot of people wanted the original Giger Alien in the game, and clamored for it. But apparently, Ed Boon saw otherwise to create a new type of Alien which... was never even seen before, or potentially even so much as thought of. A Tarkatan Alien. And a lot of fans on both MK and Alien side, are not happy.
Though in the case of MK fans, they just simply hate guest characters in their game. Plain and simple, no other way of slicing it.
But in the case of Alien fans, well... their argument is more understandable. The design is something to be desired and while, I believe that the Tarkatan Alien is something bold on Boon's part, there could've been some changes in the design. At least lengthen the head.
But at the same time, I would've thought that they take solace that the character is not at all canon neither in the Mortal Kombat mythology or even so much as the Alien mythology. It would seem as if... I was wrong.
Then again, I suppose the same arguing would've applied to me concerning the Predator and the use of the Hish-qu'ten term.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
PM sent. Let's take it to there now.
Thank you but I can't seem to figure it out. Could you perhaps IM me with a clearer explanation? Thanks!
Ah cool. Thanks for that
The arcade game was fun, but I'm talking about a modern version of the concept in the vein of the 2010 AVP game but in the arcade fighter style. Something identical to Godzilla Save the Earth, Godzilla Destroy all Monster Melee, Godzilla Unleashed, something like those game but without the short comings. A modern AVP fighter game with the characters, Xenos and Yautja from the movies.
SNES version.
Arcade version.
Wasn't there something called Mutagen or something like that which had them in?
Where you can select a characters from the films such as Ellen Ripley "with a special control move that allows you to commandeer the Power Loader for combat." Other characters could include Dwayne Hicks, Mike R. Harrigan, Sgt Dutch Schaefer "who may also have his special moves of fatal weapons of rope nets, sharp sticks, explosives grenade and other booby traps which he used against the Predator"
You could select Xenos of the films from the Classic Drone Alien, the Warrior Alien, the Alien Queen, the Dog Alien and Predalien ect, as well as the Yautjas such as the Jungle Hunter, City Hunter, Young Blood Scar Predator, Wolf Predator, Berserker Predator. A game where you can chose and fight who you wish.
Would this be a game that Alien and Predator fan would want?
And I am pretty sure the fatalities are unique too!
Now... if we can get a move-set list... THEN.. we can determine if it is a reskin of Baraka.
I believe he looks very Barraka'ish because in a previous trailer it shows the chestburster emerge from Barraka and so the Alien in the game takes on his features. Hence the arm blades, teeth, etc.
They should have made a more dynamic model engine in the first place instead of "working their way around" like this if they knew they would implement such characters later on...
You mean our crew on this forum? Sorry OT, I know. Do I have to watch Weird Science to get it?
Hey, maybe the Alien is a little on the small side, you know what I'm sayin'?
I do quite like the gameplay. I look forward to the Alien vs Predator matches. And how they pull off the fatalities on the Alien with all the acid blood. I wonder if each melee damage will make you lose health as well.
The name Chet? It's what the crew called it after Bill Paxton's character in Weird Science.
The other Alien appears to be more inspired by something more like from the early films. Regardless, the head is too short. It's supposed to be a phallic symbol remember? Somebody give that Alien some Viagra please! Without the long head, it just doesn't look that ominous.
