NECA Reveals Alien vs Predator Arcade Game Figures

Now that San Diego Comic-Con has started, NECA have taken the wraps off their new line of Alien and Predator action figures. These are based on creatures seen in the 1994 side-scroller arcade game, Alien vs. Predator from Capcom and come with some very funky colouring to match what was seen in the game.

There are three Predators – Mad Predator, Warrior Predator and Predator Hunter. They stand at over 8″ tall and have over 30 points of articulation. The Mad Predator comes with a Facehugger and Chestburster while the other two come with pulse rifles, smartguns and spears.

There are three Xenomorphs based on the hit arcade game – Razor Claws, Chrysalis and Arachnoid. Each of them is over 9″ tall with over 30 points of articulation and bendable tails. Razor Claws is the huge purple xenomorph and as you can tell by the name, possesses huge sharp claws. Chrysalis has a carapace on its head, back and forearms while Arachnoid is similar to Warrior variants but in the game, it was able to jump higher than any other xenomorph.

The new action figures will be released in January 2018. You can also check out Toyark’s extensive gallery featuring all the Alien and Predator figures that NECA have got on display at SDCC 2017.

    neca is making a lot
    but i'm loving it
series 12 is due out in less than 2 weeks! series 11 just hit shelves! love it!
series 12 due out 8/25 i believe, we should have them shipping from neca ebay/amazon/alien club a couple days before
cannot wait to build that cardboard diorama!
i bought 2 of them to make a full circle!
the marine accessory pack is due out 9/5 per neca, finally here!
next we have ultimate xenos, burke 2 pack, the 3 arcade aliens (all probably coming out before the year ends)
and i'm sure kenner series 13 will be right around the corner too!
    i love my neca toys!

Thanks for the response, sounds like a pretty sweet set-up you've got.

I'll keep pestering NECA on Twitter, but if I don't get a response I will have to resort to eBay.

Burke can be had through Popcultcha, so that's how I'll be getting him.  I asked them whether they'd be stocking Col Cameron, as they have a few other exclusives, but they couldn't confirm one way or the other at the time.

I get what you're saying about NECA releasing so many things; I have limited myself to '86 Aliens, and '87 Predator stuff... In my book, Cameron counts. ;)

It's not really a figure that I find appealing so I won't bother with this item.   NECA are just making too much stuff and it's hard to decide sometimes but I'll let this one go.  Now, that Burke and Domed cameralien 2 pack is really appealing and if it's not released here I know exactly what I'll do.

I'll order it and have it sent to a guy I know in the US.  After I've ordered a dozen or so items, he sends me a big box full of stuff.  Sometimes, it even arrives before such items are released here, if at all, and the combined shipping is less than half if I was having them all sent individually.

I had a box arrive yesterday, actually.  Among other things it contained a set of 3 Super7 blind box ReAction Aliens and another 3 Kenner 18"ers.   Can't get these item here so having them shipped all in one big box is the cheapest way to bring them into the country and the cost is basicly reduced to $10 per item for international postage.

If Colonel Cameron was on my want list and not available here, that's what I would do.  Mind you, it can take a few weeks or a couple months for my friend to receive all the goods I order.   Amazing thing is once he's got them all together, packed and sent; it takes a week for such a shipment to arrive from his place to my doorstep.

Totally worth it and once every 4 months or so is like Christmas.   This way anything that becomes available in the US is available to me without too much problem - I just have to be patient.

What did you use for your diorama pieces and what did you do spray paint them? Im trying to make multiple sets for a stop motion film length film similar to Alien Isolations atmosphere or the original Alien.

I picked up the Defiance xeno and as of right now it's tied with the Kenner Gorilla tribute for my favorite xeno spot. The only thing keeping it from number one are the leg.

I like the height, and I dig the look of them, but they aren't practical for a figure.

Gah!  So the Defiance Alien comes with the almost-useful-but-largely-shitty-display-stand that 'Stompy' has?

Being a re-purposed version of 'Stompy', I am not surprised.

    -Windebieste.

Yup, it's just Stompy with a new head and the same stand. Here's another photo:

Weird question: has Randy been off Twitter this week?  I haven't seen any updates.  Wondering if I might've been kicked off without realising it.  Can't imagine that I've done anything to warrantbeing kicked off, but his last tweet that I can read says he would be tweeting again the next day, after a busy time at SDCC.  That was six days ago.

Just thought I'd ask the question here where I know folk read NECA's Twitter feed.

So as not to completely derail the thread; I caved and had a friend pick up the Sewer Mutation xenomorph for me.  Not entirely sure where it will fit in the collection, but as an Aliens and Ninja Turtles fan I could justify the purchase to myself! ;)

Wonder if we might see a Royal Guard from the game at all at some point, or if they held off on that one in lieu of doing an "official" Praetorian at some point.
We kind of did get an official Praetorian, with the newly released Defiance Alien based on the comic series.

True, though at some point I'd imagine they'll probably do a full-on Praetorian with a bigger crest and stuff. But the release of the Defiance Alien could well have been why they decided against the Royal Guard for this particular lineup.

Those look fantastic, especially the Razor Claws and Chrysalis Aliens! And I really like the shade of blue they went with for the Mad Predator, and just the other figures in general. There's a smoothness and softness to them that I really like.

Think I'm going to have to try and pick up Razor Claws and Chrysalis at some point at the very least. And I really like that Chrysalis has an extendable head too. Dammit NECA, stop putting out so many figures I want but can't afford!

And yup, it'd be great if we could get that game on consoles. It's a classic. I don't think it's ever been released officially outside of the arcades, but man would I pay good money for a proper release.

I want all these models in one big frag fest of a game, horde mode survival, going "RAaaaaaahhh" while playing Hudson and taunting the sht out of my keyboard. "you want some to?? FCK YOU!!"

is this really to much to ask?? 😂

the AVP arcade game was great, and these figures look pretty faithful to the imaginative designs in that game. the side views are obviously meant to evoke the look of the sprites and they really do.

could this have something to do with a rerelease of the game? one could hope.

And they could be completely faithful by giving the hunter the right head. I would very interested in hearing the explanation for why he got a mask that is never seen in the game. Not even in he arcade cabinet art.

It looks like they used the character selection art instead of the in-game sprites. That explains p2 hunter. But i just can't say no to mad predator. xD Blue predator + Blue alien fighting in a Blue or cold world.

After a bit of research the character select screen and in the cutscenes he has the City Hunter armor, it's just that is some cutscenes they just didnt go into detail and it looks a bit different because of that, but the mask does change. He has the prototype/gort mask for cutscenes and in the character select screen, in game, and cabinet art, he has the standard jungle hunter mask.

I'm still bitter about not seeing Drake...but I'm sold on those Xeno's. They don't look as cartoony as their predator counter parts.
I hope this means NECA will venture into other games like AVP2010 and ACM. All the player models from those games would make awesome figures.

Were all thinking about razor claws in that pose. A facehugger finally got freddy krueger.

the AVP game aliens look nice, the Chrysalis looks small. But the preds are 100% disappointment.

They just repainted a Jungle and a City hunter. And the City Hunter doesnt look like anything in the game. The Pred hunter only has the City Hunter armor on the character select screen but the other Pred doesnt look like he looks in the character select screen. He looks like the gameplay art, this is a mess. It looks like for the Preds they just went with a new paint job and that's it. Forget matching anything. Either match both to the gameplay, or character select, or both to the cutscenes.
