The upcoming MP DLC for Aliens: Colonial Marines, Bug Hunt, is available early to people who ordered the game through Wal-Mart and have redeemed the DLC code on XBL. Consequently, images and videos of the new content are appearing online.
The blurb reads: “Bug hunt is an objective based horde mode where accuracy and teamwork are key as you battle to survive 30 waves of increasingly challenging xenos and enemy Weyland-Yutani soldiers.”
More cam footage can be found after the cut. Thanks to Leppard1236 for the videos.
Whoa.
That's awesome. Was it splitscreen?

So anyone out there get bug hunt yet that did not get the game at Walmart ?
Given the videos on Youtube and at the beginning of this thread, you sure can, buddy!
This is my dream.
I'll undoubtedly be getting it
So, I am just air venting, Hudson... guys... People have the right to spend the money as they please! I just am getting tired of this gaming industry, spewing sequel after sequel, incomplete game after incomplete game, with multiple patches, DLCs, etc...
And fortunately Steam is a lot better now, because before, a few years ago, it was a nightmare!
So, I come in peace...
Stay frosty.
Calm the hell down. People can do what they want and the opinion of one guy isn't going to change the face of the planet.
It's certainly a shame to see the first DLC release contains a common complaint about the game but as previously mentioned, this content will have been prepared prior to the game's release - pretty sure it's a requirement these days. We'll see how the other modes do.
Well shit, if you ever need anybody for bug hunt just PM me

BUTTHURT, MUCH?
For one, it's not like Gearbox is gonna PROFIT off a couple dozen people from this forum buying one piece of DLC.
For two, it's actually pretty fun.
Three, you need a f**king Xanax.
Also, WHERE DID I ASK PEOPLE TO BUY IT? I SAID, HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE. You are being a friggin a*** over NOTHING. Yes, I have scorned the game, no, I am not taking back what I said. I just said this game mode is actually pretty good.
Oh my
So, you're asking people to BUY the DLC?! SO that you have a buddy in the game?! Yes, the incoherence astounds me! SO, what's the game plan? People buy the DLC, spend even more money, or better, GIVING more money to Gearbox so that you can get to the last level of a MP SINGLE level?! What happened?! Just because you liked a Co-Op level, you change your mind entirely and ask people to spend some more money on a pathetically flawed game, a game you so verbally scorned?! Make up your mind, Hudson! Because make no mistake, no DLC redeems a game! Never did, never will! And if you believe a mere multiplayer map saves an entire game, then you boobytrap your own credibility! The only thing that could breathe life into this game would be a new story, new AI, new gameplay, etc! And make no mistake, Hudson, you're being naive if you don't think Gearbox left this DLC out of the Retail package ON PURPOSE, so that gullible Alien fans would be suckered back into spending more money on this! But to each, his own! I have made the mistake of buying this game, but I believe that saying:
"FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU... FOOL ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME!"
14, Tribute, Recruit. I feel the level difficulty thing is way out of whack. Even on recruit it can be insane. I made it to wave 4 on solider for the same level.
Wave 18, alone, Tribute. WOW. I don't think it's POSSIBLE, at all, to advance without help. I unlocked the operations portion of LV-426. This game mode is going to easily breathe life into the game.
Hope some of you guys are buying it.
14 is great! I think I've gotten to 9 on Tribute. What map? It will be nice to have more players next week.
I need a team for sure. I wanna make it to wave 30. I made it to 14 on my own.
I think they did Brothers In Arms. I loved the first two...ACM should have had that combat dynamic/character development.
There was actually people who wanted that?
I mean maybe for ONE level, sure, but there's too many human vs human levels. AVP2010 at least spaced out the combat synthetics enough for it to not be as annoying
Hell, I wouldn't mind a few new alien varieties instead of huuumunz.
Pathfinding also seems a little better, though they still all line up to jump at the same points. If you catch them right, you can waste a whole spawns worth of enemies as they crawl up the same hole in the floor or whatever. An improvement, but still far from perfect. Far from AvP 2010's Alien movement, that's for damned sure.
I can't really make a call given this is $15. If it didn't have f**king WY, I'd say go for it if you already like the game.. but that does feel like a slap in the face, as many of you have said already. There's lots to keep people playing, but I'm still very much on the fence.
Gearbox already had the maps and AI all done way before the reviews came crashing down on their arses! People speculate that these maps, either for SP, MP (Co-Op included) seem to have been leftovers that didn't fit the game once Gearbox began downgrading the TimeGate version! These maps and modes were definitely already done before release! They just wanted to leave the best for last, furthering the treatment of 'let the suckers buy this crap and then leave the best MP modes and maps for the DLC to make them buy them, if they hadn't already with the Season Pass ploy we inflicted on their gullible arses!'

I'm not 100% on this but I'm sure I read the 18th March
