Looks like Someone needs to learn how to take a joke.
Do you want to try and employ an actual response there or do you prefer just using dickish, trollish, imagery?
See? I can do it too.
Lobby looks typical for modern shooters, unfortunately.
The environment looks pretty solid. I don't care for the changes to the Pulse Rifle.
To Hell with the ironsights, but whatever, nothing is ever gonna change that.
That image of the APC is awesome. Love the lighting and stuff in that shot. Very good.

All I can think is how tired this whole thing makes me feel. It's so... Middle. Average. Dull.
And I really, really, don't want to feel that way about it. I was so looking forward to this game a year ago.
Eff the red dots, by the way. They don't have to give the aliens X-ray. Just get rid of the damn red dots. The entire point of the tension behind the Motion Tracker was simply seeing a lot of motion on it. If you make multi-colored BS on it, you ruin the point of it.
This is what happens when "modern sensibiltiies" get in the way of old school ideas, though. They gotta make it more "realistic" and "functional."

Yeah, right there. EAT IT!
Which, yeah, that's another thing i'm gonna bitch about now. Why can't these ALIEN games ever, ever just give me an old school shotgun? It's always gotta be a science fictiony shotgun. Save Alien Trilogy, not one of them has gotten the shotguns to look or feel like Michael Biehn's Ithaca. Always bugged me to Hell in AVP2. Had to reskin it to try and make it look right. Still, it wasn't the same.
It's the little things that make an "authentic" experience, Gearbox. It really is.
Probably a good thing for mods (if SDK there is).
But original A:CM version will piss more than one with that many rabbit players jumping all around.
AI animations still looks horrible.
Xenos become cannon fodder if they wander in front of the cannon. Just as it should be, imho.

WHY?
Because I respect the decisions made on its behalf because I'm not in control of it. Those who have no right to give input are the most vocal. So shut up! The lot of ya!
Ooh, ya got me sport. You win!
I'll hide in the corner as you type your next snarky comeback. And when I don't reply, it will be because you best me into submission with your whit!
... That of I'm going to bed.. But I'll do ya a favor and say it was your whit.
Damnit, I just can't do it! It's because I'm going to bed. I could give a rats ass about your whit. Lol.
Nite!
True. Not one bit. I could care less if I hurt some fanatics feelings.
The game is going to be an awesome amalgamation of a developers hard work, and I'm not going to be one of those assholes whimpering over something they did that I personally don't like. Franchises don't owe you and I a damn thing. We lime it we buy it.. We don't like it, we don't buy it. End of story.
You're not sorry at all.
Sorry to sound like a dick, to those who are just well meaning folks who want to contribute to the conversation. My frustration is geared toward the FANBOY sect so irritatingly blinded by the fact that their griping means jack shit to anybody.
Here we are in 2012 about to receive a game based on events following one of our most beloved childhood memories, packed with xenomorphs, facehuggers, recreated movie sets... And even bits from the original ALIEN... And the hot button topic is... A RED DOT in MP...
Look.. If you want tension go shark diving, or crocodile wrestling... But don't cry like pantywaists because you aren't going to be able to immerse yourself in sheer terror in a world contained on a television screen. Immersion is great, but any real ALIENS fan isn't going to play this game to feel tension.. They are going to play it to feel like Vasquez.
So just relax you sissies.
and while the blood spray looks fine the acid is completely absent. i suspect they havent even implemented it to the demos because they havent managed to make it not-instakill for awful players/consoles like the guy at the beggining. or they havent havent started on it all which is just as likely. either way, marines are taking way more damage than they should without going down. i counted dozens of claw attacks and not even a freefloating pain animation.
I could care LESS if the Aliens can see through walls. They want to call this an authentic experience centered around Aliens and yet they're removing the tension that the motion tracker brings. YOU may not care about it, but I sure as hell do. Balance be damned, I don't want my tracker to have any damn red dots.
I know, right? Just like they were in the movie, AvP 1, and AvP 2!
And put me down as against the red dots.
I don't understand the hooplah over the red dots. It would be a hell of a lot more irritating and ultimately detracting from the gameplay if they made the dots the same color.
Who cares. They are balancing it out.
If Aliens can see through walls, we should get read dots.
The problem I think is possibly with play testing results. They tested it, and the tracker is most likely worthless in the heat of combat without the red dots.
Something tells me they are here to stay, unfortunately.
Having an IFF on the motion tracker is irritating and removes any suspense from a blip. They obviously didn't have them in Aliens, otherwise why would Gorman have asked Apone where his men were when Newt was setting off the tracker?
Comabt seems kinda floaty at the moment with aliens always just clawing at the marines only to be ground into a pulp when they're shot at.
Hicks and Hudson are multiplayer skins...

Yes, you could say the same thing about killing Newt and Hicks, but at least losing Newt was in service of the story in ALIEN 3. They made Ripley's death pointless.
seriously, green pulse rifles are the ugliest things in the universe.
So did Dillon in Alien3...and he didn't have any armor.

I Also liked the interior of the derelict being featured, hope it includes the jockey chair also.
Long time to wait but looks like it will be worth it.
