Yesterday, we reported on the existence of a brand new trailer for Prometheus. As mentioned before, this new trailer lasts for around one minute and features a handful of scenes from the footage that was shown at Comic-con this year, scenes from the recently leaked 18 seconds teaser trailer and much more. You can watch it below now. The quality isn’t ideal but the video is definitely worth a look.
Special thanks to James Smith for sending us the recording.
[Video removed by request of Fox]
According to the source, the trailer is being shown to the public via an entertainment survey at an online surveys website.

I recently got the chance to see a brand new trailer for Prometheus. The video is one minute long and it’s a mix between brand new scenes, scenes from the Comic-con footage and the recently leaked trailer. Below you can find a detailed description of the trailer, make sure to click the read more button:
- The trailer starts with the 20th Century FOX logo. You hear a transmission. A woman (which I assume to be Rapace) is saying “…got to stop… was wrong.. so wrong…I’m so sorry…”. You can hear the last part very clearly.
- The first scene shows a spaceship (similar to the one seen in the first leaked trailer) flying towards a planet on the background.
- Next you see is the surface of a planet and some sort of facility. It kinda looks like a Lunar base to me.
- Now they show this scene from the Comic-con footage.
- You can see the film’s title forming in the background during most of the trailer. Pretty much like in the introductory scene of Alien.
- Next is the Ampule room. They show it off from all different angles and finally a close up of the ampules. Suddenly you hear a high pitch scream. It’s not human. It sounds like if it was from a facehugger. Then there’s a lot of smoke from what seems to be acid corrosion. They show a guy in a spacesuit. He’s alone. Screaming and putting his hands over his helmet. It looks just like the Kane/derelict scene in Alien.

Update: EW has posted up an article to promote the pictures from their latest magazine issue: “There’s definitely a link to Alien,” Fassbender said, “There’s creatures in it that you’ll recognize”. The film began shooting with a budget of $100 million according to the publication. You can read the rest of the article here and here.
In addition to this, Charlize Theron has recently shared some details with The Playlist about the cast. Talking about fellow actor Patrick Wilson, she said: “He’s all in flashback“. Noting that both actors don’t actually share any scenes together in the film.

I’m a bit hesistant with this post but the footage seems to be authentic. IMDB user EverardoGuzman01 has just posted up this footage which he claims to be from the Prometheus trailer:
[Image and description removed by request of Fox]
He says this is just a 10 second clip of the trailer which he also provided a full description of it which I’ve been asked to remove by Fox. I noticed what appeared to be a shot of the flamethrower scene we’ve seen leaked images of, the spacesuits we’ve already seen and what appeared to be the scene depicted in the official production still. Thanks to reuben for the link.

There’s a new interview with Ridley Scott over on The Wall Street Journal. There’s no major spoilers. Here’s the main points:
- The movie is about a higher being who challenges the gods.
- The last 8 minutes of the film ‘evolve into a pretty good DNA of the Alien one’. In other words, the movie ends where Alien picks up.
- Sigourney Weaver doesn’t make any kind of cameo appearance.
- The movie was shot in 3D with CGI.
Thanks to Darkoo for the news.
