In additional to our previous coverage of the upcoming Leicester based Aliens convention, further details have now been released:
“Pay £13 on the Saturday and ask for an upgrade to an Annual Pass by signing a Giftaid form and get the second day free!
£5 for the ‘Alien Encounter’ – an ‘Alien War’ style live action experience
£15 per autograph.
Photo prices to be announced later but like autographs will be standard fare.
So… only £18 to attend on both days and take part in the Alien Encounter!
Or just pay £13 for both days if you’re not brave enough to enter the encounter.
And don’t forget, this is an annual pass meaning you could go back to the space centre again for the next twelve months.
By signing a Giftaid form the National Space Centre gets money back from the taxman because they are a charity. So good to know that all the money is going to good causes as opposed to a businessman’s back pocket (I’m lookin’ at you Charles-Bishop Weyland!).”
Keep watching for more information about more guests and hotel information. Keep an eye on our forums and the Alien Encounters Facebook page.
Damn, I hope I get a seat! I'm taking my brother. Get paid on the 12th Sept, hopefully it's not too late.

Isn't my name Aaron Percival? That's right, I'm talking on a panel with Ian Nathan (Empire writer and author of Alien Vault) and Christian Fowler of Alien Prequel News. There is also going to be a dinner party with the guests and the guys over at Alien Legacy. Myself, Vulhala & resident Giger approved blogger Valaquen are going so make sure you buy a ticket and join us.
I won't be going to the dinner though, there's too much on that menu that I can't eat/don't like so fun as it would be... no. Will be lurking around during the day though.
Tickets are priced at £30, which includes drink upon arrival, three course dinner with tea/coffee, entertainment and a donation to our nominated charity:

Entertainment is a standup apparently. Already booked my place. Need some extra bodies to join me. I can't be the only AvPGer!
*rubs hands* I get paid tomorrow, I think I shall book me a room.
"Can I buy advance tickets, or buy online?"
No. And no need to as there will be plenty of room for eveybody coming.
So it's pay on the door – no advance bookings.
All the proceeds go to children charities – somewhat unusual for an event of this kind. This is because the National Space Centre itself is a charity so they're able to get breaks to make this all possible. It also keeps the cost down for our convention attendees.
Hotel information
£48 B&B rate at the Premier Inn, Leicester Braunstone South as a convention special deal. Runs 23-26 September.
However, it is cheaper if you book a hotel room now without breakfast at the non-refundable rate but it will get more expensive week on week so that's why the NSC has set up the B&B deal (which can be booked anytime before and during the event weekend).
You could get three or four in a room – this is what the UKCM lads do to keep the cost down.

There is also a city center Prem Inn that seems cheaper, checking today's prices (again, if booked now) so you might want to consider that.
I stayed at both and can recommend them. They're cheap, decent but if you're coming by train you may want the city centre hotel which might appeal to some.

Just have a good time and remember marines look sharp
Wicked. Muahaha. This sounds great.
You start with an eight minute briefing and visitor film in the company of Dr Carabass, the lead Weyalnd-Yutani research scientist at the installation.
After the briefing you're taken in to the main science control room where the research they're doing is explained in detail.
Don't worry though, you'll be flanked by the heavy Colonial Marine security presence at all times.
You know, just in case...
I wish everybody a hell of a time there.
LET`S ROOOOOOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
