Aliens Colonial Marines Update On The Horizon?

I wouldn’t normally post something like this. It’s news about upcoming news but it seems promising:

“We are very passionate and committed to the Aliens project. I feel that it’s a dream project to be able to spend time in that space with the brand. The progress is exciting and I do not expect that it will be very long now before Sega and Fox and Gearbox all come together to update everyone on the game and show what we’ve been up to.”

This was Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford’s response to a question about Colonial Marines in the latest Gearboxity. Thanks to Brother for the link.

I could care less about how the game looks as long as they get the atmosphere right.  I still think that the best Aliens-based games came out years ago.  I'd still rather play the original PC version of AvP instead of the installment that came out last year.  Hell, I'd still rather play the original Aliens total conversion for Doom and Quake from the 1990's than AvP 2010.

I just had a look on the exhibitors list for E3 and Gearbox aren't there. I know there's still time of course. Or would it be SEGA that announced info about A:CM instead of Gearbox?

It's a bit too early, Vulh. Nothing is set in stone yet so don't expect to see any official confirmations until we're closer to June. And it's usually the publisher who announces that kind of stuff.

Well come on. The game's been sitting for nearly 4-5 years now. They have to of finished everything by now. The graphics are probably as outdated as Homefronts. Who cares? Just release it and make us happy so we can throw our money!
