Home Cinema Choice have wrapped up their previews of the Aliens Anthology set with Alien Resurrection:

 Alien Resurrection Blu-ray Previews

Looking at the galleries, it seems like the special edition versions of the movies have definitely been redone but I’m unsure if the theatrical releases have also been done. Either way, it’s looking amazing. The set is due for release 25th of October and Home Cinema Choice will have their own review out around the 21st. More Anthology coverage can be expected soon.

Not trying to be controversial but u think the whole series was spoilt by Cameron and aliens. Ridley Scott and giger had created the greatest and scariest movie monster ever. All Cameron did was deform it and turn the alien into canon fodder, making it unscary! ripleys character arc is the best thing about the film! Just my opinion feel free to disagree.

Im not being funny, but Alien Resurrection was a pure bag of w**k. Lets face it, who really wanted to see Brad Dourif taunting an alien with his teeth? who wanted to see some stupid cripple guy getting carried around on some no name actor from CSI's back? The film is so stupid it contradicts itself, for example, 3 aliens in a cell, 2 attack the remaining and escape...an hour later a alien is seen spitting acid from its mouth freely, a feat never before seen, and dont give me this crap they were cloned aliens, its a plot hole which rendered the original attack mute. Im pretty sure a hole in a window of a ship entering earths atmosphere would cause heat to flood the shit and incinerate the crew members, which to be fair, wouldve have been a great ending as every character deserved to die in this one, even Ripley. For me Alien is your classic horror of the franchise, Aliens is your action movie and Alien3 was the cool artsy finalé where the franchise shouldve ended, if any movie deserves props it Alien3, does anyone really need to credit Scott or Cameron movie, lets face it, they werent exactly going to be crap with the directors they had

I actually like A:R. It's surreal and arty, an interesting perspective on the series.  Tbh, another film of exactly the same style would have been medicore and dull.  Some bits were terrible, but in general I really enjoyed the surrealism and the arty-ness.  Alien was arty in its German Giger way, and A:R is arty in its surreal French way.  I like it.

Alien Resurrection is notoriously bad mate.  It deviated greatly from the true design of the alien that Giger created and Cameron perfected.  Aliens was one of the best movies between the Alien and PREDATOR franchises due to a strong cast, first class acting, and a great score... none of which were in AR.  It may look better in blu-ray but it will still suck like it did in 1997

Alien Resurrection is the best of all the Alien movies.  I love the comedy.  That's the one thing I regret the most about the first Alien.  It needed comedy like in Alien Resurrection.  Same with Aliens.  Aliens took itself so seriously all the time.  If Aliens had comedy like in Alien Resurrection it would have been so much of a better movie.  In fact, what really makes an Alien movie is the comedy.  That's why Alien Resurrection is the best of them all.  I hope Ridley Scott will incorporate comedy into his new prequel.  He should watch Alien Resurrection to get some ideas on how to do this.  Not putting this kind of comedy into the prequels will be a HUGE mistake.  Ridley should bring Joss Whedon on to help infuse comedy into the script.  The comedy really helps to bring an element of believability to an Alien film (i.e. AR).  It really helps the audience to suspend their disbelief and become immersed in the film.  I just can't say enough about Alien Resurrection and the comedy it had in it.  It just made it awesome.
