D-13 | 20 Jan 2010 16:57

Great! I’m well on the Recommended side…

Spoon | 20 Jan 2010 17:02

Those are high specs. Glad to have xbox360! sweet.
Wheres DEMO!!!

skull-splitter | 20 Jan 2010 17:02

Easily doubling the recommended (note: recommended is the point where shit finally starts running well), so I’m pretty much set. Impressive if the visuals are on par with the screens if you ask me.

I certainly hope this version of Asura is more PC-friendly than that was in Shellshock 2…

And yes, a demo would be nice.

piet11111 | 20 Jan 2010 17:03

easily reach the recommended only the geforce 8800 seems to just make it.

rzrzkid | 20 Jan 2010 17:05

AWESOMEEEE! OMG! coool!
demoo?????

kakarotssj4 | 20 Jan 2010 17:23

great :DD and now the demo….:D

panzytuio | 20 Jan 2010 17:34

Hey guys, if I have Vista with Nvidia 7300 do you think I will be ok for running it on my pc??? Because, I don know, the system requirments usually have to be a lot better than what the minimum actually is.

Reaper1994 | 20 Jan 2010 17:39

So with these specs will i be able to run it at max?

RAM:2GB
Graphics Card:9500GT
CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz E7300
Opereting System:Vista 64-bit

Attack.no1 | 20 Jan 2010 17:39

stop asking about the demo!!

Crayola Sucks | 20 Jan 2010 17:47

I surpass the recommended by far. I will be getting it for 360 and PC soooooo…

Elude | 20 Jan 2010 17:51

Yea I pass the recommended easily aswell.

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 17:52

Reaper1994, no you will not be able to max it out, you can have most settings on high and prolly some particle effects on medium with 2xAA but you will not max them out, and even with 2xAA you will drop pretty low in big battles on the frame rate

Reaper1994 | 20 Jan 2010 17:55

tnx kaizerdan.I HAVE to get a new PC !!!!!!

gss | 20 Jan 2010 17:56

so where is dx11 card in recommended reqs

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 17:59

Ehh, you are alright… only main thing slowing you down is the 9500gt… but thatll play every game out now, just with the modern games now youll start to tone it down. and an extra 2gigs of ram will help, lots a detail to load in these games

Mr. Stizout | 20 Jan 2010 18:09

Can this play it?
Intel Quad Processor 3.9GHZ
12 GB Ram
2x ATI 5970 in crossfire

Harry72 | 20 Jan 2010 18:10

Thx ikarop !

Reaper1994 | 20 Jan 2010 18:11

I am gonna wait for a nvidia card that will be compatible with directx 11(and will be 2 gigs or so)and basically change my computer.BTW,tnx for the tip.

Reaper1994 | 20 Jan 2010 18:12

I don’t think so Mr. Stizout.Sorry :undecided:

Just kidding u will play it on max for sure!

rzrzkid | 20 Jan 2010 18:13

it is true?

“Yes we know lots of people are asking about the demo release date i can tell you that pre-ordering is now available and that the demo will be released 1 week and a bit after that so look out on Steam or Xbox live marketplace or Play Station 3 network from the 5-12th of February”

Reaper1994 | 20 Jan 2010 18:13

Actually u won’t have to change anything on ur PC for 6 year.
Lucky u.

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 18:24

Lol, reaper, if you get one of those… man i should start a list..
1. You will be bottle necked by your CPU
2. Bottle necked by your RAM
3. BETTER we running some sort of triple monitor or 6 monitor set up because if you are running a 1680 or 1920… that is a HUGE over kill : P
4.Id wait to see how the prices on the 58xx cards change with nvidia releases their line because that will be all you need if the price is right : P

rawrfish | 20 Jan 2010 18:26

What about
Phenom II x3 720 BE 2.8Ghz
GTX 260
4GB RAM, in max settings?

Reptile | 20 Jan 2010 18:43

Can anyone tell me if mine be able to handle it on at least Medium settings? All I care about is just being able to play it!

64bit WindowsXP
Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ (2 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory:
2048MB RAM
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

Force | 20 Jan 2010 18:44

i also got AMD phenom 2 x3 & 4gb RAM. im doubting max settings with my gpx card also.. ati 2600 hd pro :’(

Nice | 20 Jan 2010 18:45

We cant be sure without demo. Carefull with the preorder guys….

The | 20 Jan 2010 18:58

Demo where’s demo

stemot | 20 Jan 2010 18:58

Jesus, my system will destroy this game.

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 19:04

mmk, the minimum specs are early 2000-04 tech, so if you are still rocking that computer you build just for source games you should be fine to get by with just playing the game. but yes please do wait for demo to see if you can tolerate playing it on low settings with bad fps in multiplayer.

Reptile | 20 Jan 2010 19:09

kaizer you talking about my specs? If so, what do i need to upgrade?

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 19:24

reptile, you can prolly pull it off with your dualcore but a little over clock if you can might help… but dont mess with it if you arent sure how. your processor is ehh but it might work.

Neon_Knight | 20 Jan 2010 19:30

Reptile, you don’t exactly NEED to upgrade anything, I just wouldn’t expect amazing performance in AVP. It’d probably run, just not very well. In your case it’s not a simple case of upgrading one thing and suddenly it’ll all be amazing maxed out. If you want to max out this game, you’ll probably have to upgrade a bit of everything. But if I were you, I’d get a new graphics card first – have a look at the GTX260 series, they’re not too expensive, and leagues above an 8600. That should at least get it running at pleasant graphics settings. )I’d also consider more RAM if I were you). I’m no expert though.

Reptile | 20 Jan 2010 19:34

All care is just being at least able to play on Medium, I don’t need the game maxed out on anything. If I can get at the very least medium settings I’ll be happy. I just wanna play as I haven’t been able to play AvP1 and 2 when I first got them and I don’t want AvP3 to be the same way!

Hicks_0998 | 20 Jan 2010 19:50

guys theres no point in putting your own specs up and asking if itll run, theyre there for a reason so just cross reference your own and itll tell you whether you can run it or not. As for the directx 11, wtf?

Jekku | 20 Jan 2010 20:25

Yep, definitely getting this on the Xbox 360. :P

Dread555 | 20 Jan 2010 20:27

i got…
Vista 32bit

3gb of ram

nvidia geforce GTS 250 1gb graphics card

and an AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core 5600 processor 2.8GHz (im going to upgrade to a 6400 3.2GHz)

with all that and the upgraded processor, will i be able to run avp smoothly at max settings?

frostedone | 20 Jan 2010 20:44

Reptile: I would say medium would be alright for you. The GPU is a little weak, but should be able to handle medium detail just fine.

Rawrfish: High settings, but probably not max since your video card is DX10.

Force: Your videocard is seriously bottlenecking your potential, but low settings should be fine. If you want a massive boost, the Nvidia 9800GT video card is under $100 now on newegg.com.

frostedone | 20 Jan 2010 20:47

Dread555: Not max but you’ll probably do well on high settings. Your card is Direct X 10 and to get the most out of AVP you’ll need a DX11 card. Nvidia should start making their DX11 cards sometime in Q1 2010 they said. Until then the only maker of DX11 cards is ATI. Still your card is pretty powerful though. Some DX11 cards may even be a downgrade for you.

Ephemeriis | 20 Jan 2010 20:56

It’s nice to know that it will work on my system… But what I really want is a demo!

Lars | 20 Jan 2010 21:04

Sounds great.. Momentarily I play games on Asus 1201N and its great to know I will be able to play AvP everywhere I go… At least I think I should quite comfortabily on low settings. Just tested Mass Effect and worked nicely. Demo should tell more though …

Vainisto | 20 Jan 2010 21:28

Are you kidding me? These requirements are embarrassingly low. I want them HIGHER!

Axlotl | 20 Jan 2010 21:41

Probably time to replace my processor. AMD Sempron 3100+

kaizerdan | 20 Jan 2010 21:42

@vainistro Yes i agree, but that is why mass console gamers are killing the battle for best graphics in games… the developers want to sell the most so it is a console game first.. .just has the ability to turn up a few settings on pc… same with the junk that is COD:MW2

Sabres21768 | 20 Jan 2010 22:16

So, is STEAM going to be a requirement to play this?

I didn’t see it in the list, so I’m hoping not.
