Predator 2 will be released in the UK on Blu-Ray on November 3rd. Specs are unknown but it’s only a 1-Disc set so I imagine it will be like the Predator Blu-Ray with no extras on it. Here’s the artwork from Play.com:

The retail price is £22.99 according to Amazon.co.uk. There’s also a Predator 1/2 Blu-Ray boxset coming out on the same day for £30. No word on a US release as of yet. Thanks to jimmyboy for the news.

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about a potential Predator 3 movie. Producer John Davis did an interview with Collider (news is also on Bloody-Disgusting) and he mentions what the future may hold:
You were also involved with AVP and AVPR, which are two great franchises, but they haven’t been able to work as a joint franchise. When are we going to see them go separate? Or are we going to see a third AVP?
John Davis: Well, the Governor has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn’t run for the Senate and all of that stuff, he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise.
So if Arnold wanted to do it, it’s going to get made?
John Davis: Well we’d have to come up with a really good script and a really great angle on it, but Predator was the first movie I was ever involved with, so it’s always going to have a really soft spot in my heart.
So is the AVP franchise on hold for now?
John Davis: I think we’ve logically done what we could’ve done with the two AVP movies. But I think there’s something to go back to with Predator .
So there you have it. I never thought Arnie would return to acting though, especially in a new Predator movie. However, it’s definitely a positive that they’re ditching the AvP franchise.

So we’ve had Colonial Marines in the headlines lately but a few small mobile phone games have snuck their way onto your mobiles:

“Play as the Predator and create havoc in the high security prison camp of Terminal City. Avenge the slain forefather by vanquishing Major Duke. Destroy, bypass or manipulate the high security systems with ingenuity or sheer brute force. Then play as Major Duke, who must beat the odds by taking on marine soldiers and in a final showdown must take down his otherworldly nemesis, who has traveled light years only for this trophy. Decide who wins in this legendary battle; the man or the brute.”
You can either have a 2D or a 3D version depending on your phones. The games have been developed by IgFun who also have a BioShock mobile game under their belt. Check out their website for more screenshots and info. Thanks to HybridNewborn for the news.

So with the last AvP omnibus done and the last Predator one out this month, it appears the Aliens series is still going strong. Comics Continuum just released the cover and details on the 6th Aliens omnibus:

“Mankind has always struggled to balance exploration and exploitation when stepping into new lands. In the era of the colonization of space, the discovery of new wonders is countered by the awful realities when species once separated by light years of airless void are suddenly thrown together, and the heady intoxication of discovery becomes the feral nightmare of a battle for supremacy. Humanity¹s arrogance and greed have helped the Alien plague spread, and now men and women must step forward to ensure that the future of the galaxy does not become the age of the Alien!”Unfortunately I have no idea what comics are in this so I have no way of telling if this is the last comic or not. You can read the Dark Horse’s new releases over at Comic Continuum. Thanks to vikingspawn for the heads up.

Gearbox threw a party on Friday to celebrate the upcoming release of Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway and Samba de Amigo. Among the game trailers shown, there was a short teaser trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Somebody recorded it on a camera and leaked it online.

It starts off with the camera moving over some Alien Eggs and some Marines talking over the radio. One of the eggs opens and then a Facehugger jumps out… Then the trailer quickly switches to the title and gunfire and shouting is heard in the background.
